On the late afternoon Friday night while the night was silent. We started hearing a water noise. We then noticed that our basement shower was backing up with unknown water. What did I do? I simply called Apollo plumbing, heating and cooling. What happened next They sent Eli PAZ technician to service and determine what our issue was with plumbing. Eli was exceptional and extremely knowledgeable. He was quickly to diagnose and present a solution for our issue. Under two hours he had completed work and saved the day. We will definitely recommend Eli in the future. For any of your plumbing or drain needs. Please call Apollo plumbing, heating and cooling. They will not disappointed.!
We would never recommend Apollo plumbing and heating.
Unfortunately we feel the need to post on social media, because we sent two emails, and finally a certified letter, addressed to the owners, Ryan and Derek, expressing our concerns and issues. That was three weeks ago, but we have never received any response back, from anyone.
There was so much miscommunication amongst the too many people that were involved. The left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. There were many mistakes along the way, but thank goodness for the gas company and Washington County inspections.
What should’ve been a two day job turned into a 10 day job over the course of eight weeks. Even though they were higher than the other two bids we got, we felt very comfortable with the knowledge of the original project manager, who we never saw or heard from again.
The commercials, with the two brothers Ryan and Derek are very cute and catchy, which also influenced us. The brothers (owners) claim in their commercials that they care, but neither one has even bothered to call and acknowledge let alone apologize. Be careful Do Not believe the Commercials.

Shawn, Landon and Cesar are absolute super stars at Apollo. We've used this company for plumbing and HVAC services and have never been let down throughout the years. This time around we needed an AC unit replaced and knew just who to call. From the project manager meeting with Shawn to the installation with Landon and Cesar, Apollo has done it again with 5 star service. I definitely cannot leave out the ladies in the office for their exceptional customer service and information (there's too many of you to list so I apologize for not name dropping y'all!).
Ps. Rebranding is dope, well done. From one business owner to another, the Mantel system that sends out the estimates is superior and worth every penny you guys are spending on it.
I had a new heat pump installed by Apollo less than 3 to years ago . Less than three years later, the outdoor Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) failed.
To their credit, Apollo waived the diagnostic fee to send a technician out to confirm the failure. Unfortunately, their approach to the warranty repair was incredibly disappointing. Even though the TXV itself is completely covered under the 10-year manufacturer warranty, Apollo quoted a high price (even after applying a discount) to perform the labor and recharge system.
Beyond the price, the quote lacked any standard transparency. There was no itemized scope of work, no documentation on how they planned to handle the refrigerant recovery, and no breakdown of materials. Most concerningly, the contract included a clause explicitly stating they do not guarantee the repair will actually resolve the issue, and they offered no written workmanship warranty on the labor.
Apollo’s initial installation was fine, but their ongoing service and warranty support left a lot to be desired. If you use them, I highly recommend demanding clear, itemized documentation for any repair and thoroughly checking their quotes against the broader market.
I'll let you be the judge.
*10/30/24: Paid $15,679.40 for new furnace and air conditioner to be installed
*Within a few months, we had rats (never had before), called pest control, they determined the point of entry for the rats was where Apollo cut the vent screen to place the pipe through and did not replace. We put steel wool in there in the meantime.
*10/27/25: Received an invoice that our yearly friends and family membership fee was due, we called because we were told that by purchasing from Apollo, we automatically were part of the program. Turns out, that was only for 1 year, so we cancelled because we shouldn't have any issues this early, right?
*04/06/26: We turned off power at the circuit breaker for an unrelated project, turned it back on and neither the AC nor the heater would turn on. Tried troubleshooting, googling, called Dad to troubleshoot. Nothing. We called Apollo to come look. They came out the day after calling, and estimated $5,630.20 to fix the control board, motor and the blower, and said there may even be more wrong, but that they needed to fix these things before they could further troubleshoot. Donovan said we should have been offered a surge protector as an add-on when it was installed, but we were not (We live in Troutdale and experience multiple power outages every year, so had this been an option, we would have been all over it)
*Called that evening to speak with a manager to discuss this. Jessica answered the phone, took down our info and what was going on, and said she would pass the message along. Gave them 2 business days and the weekend and never heard back.
*04/13/26: Called again, it rang and rang and then an AI person answered, so left another message.
*04/14/26: Called again and spoke with Raquel, who also took info and said we would be called back.
*04/15/26: Husband called, and was told Ian was supposed to be calling us back that day but was in an out-of-office meeting all day, so she would still pass the information along. She was very apologetic.
*04/17/26: Had a friend who does HVAC come look at it (we didn't before because we thought Apollo would have stepped up and stood behind their work), he ordered a new control board and motor in hopes of not needing a blower, parts were $652.94. He came to install them and decided we do in fact need a blower, which he said usually run around $1000.
*04/30/26: Went down to Apollo, thinking they can't ignore us if we're physically there. Spoke with Sam and Ian who said that within the last 6 months, they started requiring for surge protectors to be installed because this was such a common issue; but because we had purchased ours almost a year and a half ago, we would have to pay for one to be installed. They also said these power issues were not the fault of the manufacturer nor the installers, but the third party who does the control boards. Asked why they hadn't returned any of the 4 messages we left, and they said they're not sure, there must have been a breakdown in communication. Asked about all the selling points on the website, about valuing their reputation, treating everyone like a friend, and fixing things that need to be fixed whether their getting paid or not. They said this IS how they run their company, but apparently they are not going to do anything that stands by this or the products they use, even when patterns of problems arise.
Meanwhile the forecast is for 89 degrees today, and I just made payment 18 of 120 on our less-than-one-and-a-half-year-old-HVAC-system THAT DOESN'T WORK.
