  Pretty poor experience, and I don't like leaving bad reviews. The guys were nice, but generally unprofessional. I sent a photo of the work right after scheduling — repairing a ~4x4' hole in my drywall after a plumber opened it up. I was told it would take about 4 hours, and asked if I would authorize another hour if it takes longer, I said yes. They showed up on time and got to work. After about 3 hours they let me know they couldn't finish today because the joint compound needed to dry. That makes sense — but I wish the office had made it clear up front. A real drywall contractor would have known and said so. Now I have to schedule a second appointment, and the total for a ~4x4' patch will likely run over $1,350. What I found negative: 1. Communication. This was always going to be a two-day job, and that should have been said up front. Everything about the scheduling suggested it would be done in one. 2. No respect for my house. They mixed joint compound in my kitchen sink while I still had dishes in it, and tracked wet compound all over the house. When I said using my kitchen sink wasn't okay, the worker told me he washes his brushes in his own kitchen sink. That doesn't make it okay in mine. 3. The cleanup. After I brought up the mess, they did make an effort — but then asked, "Does it look clean enough?" I was just ready for them to leave. I shouldn't have to tell someone Im paying north of $200/hr how to clean; you should be able to see the tracks of joint compound still on my hardwood floors. I won't be using them again.

  Victor showed up on time, went right to work and finished the assigned job, plus another I added on, in less than the minimum time. The work is great. Wish I'd had more for him to do.

  We have specifically requested Will from Ace Hardware Handyman Service for several projects now, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Communication is always an absolute breeze, and his methods for resolving issues are remarkably quick and efficient. Beyond his obvious skill, Will has such a pleasant, easygoing energy. It can sometimes feel intrusive having someone work in your house, but he is incredibly comfortable to be around. If you are booking through Ace, do yourself a favor and ask for Will. Five stars!

  Really great experience with Pablo and the team at Ace Handyman. The quoted price was very competitive (my original quote was more than double what Ace quoted) and Pablo was courteous, on time, and best of all he did excellent work in a timely fashion.
