I posted the review below giving Parr Lumber 1 star:
I recently purchased almost 300 feet of cedar 2x8 and a roll of Simpson strap that I had delivered to my house. When I saw that the total was over $1,800 I was expecting excellent quality material. When it arrived the wood was bundled and wrapped and I was not able to look at it until after the driver left. What I found was extremely disappointing: every board had knots up to 3 inches in diameter and one, for which I was charged over $78, was split down the middle for a quarter of its length. The end of the coil of Simpson strap looked like it had been cut, and after making the parts I needed I measured the length and it only came to 17 feet. The roll was supposed to be 25 feet. Someone had already cut off 8 feet before they sold it to me. This is a dishonest company that I will avoid in the future.
A few days after this rating appeared I received a call from the branch manager apologizing for my poor experience and offering the following explanation: 1) they do not have a way to cut 16g strap in their yard and he guessed that the roll I received had been returned by a customer who cut it, and 2) the wood I ordered arrived at their yard wrapped and no one there saw it before it was delivered. They had no way to monitor the quality. He also offered to refund the cost of the strap and to give me a discount on the wood for the low quality; and he has made good on that offer. I therefore retract my comment saying the company is dishonest. It is expensive and the quality of their cedar is disappointing at best but I think that is more due to the tariff taxes that we are all suffering than to any fault of the company.

Recently had a deck replaced on the backside of my house. I worked with a contractor who did the labor but I purchased materials. Worked with Joey at Parr Lumber, Raleigh Hills. He was very helpful in getting the right materials and fasteners for the deck. The delivery process was easy and they also made the return process of unused wood and clips super easy. Customer service throughout the process was excellent.

The guys at Part lumber in Raleigh Hills
Are very helpful and patient. Great service. They have a profound sense of urgency and worked with me to get materials delivered on short notice. The delivery tech made efforts above and beyond to ensure prompt, clean delivery, safe from the rain. Most importantly, they kept in touch with order status, and drop off time.
Thanks, guys!! Great job.
