The technician Stuart was very professional, as well as highly skilled in the field of HVAC. Stuart explained the procedure that needed to be done and took the time to explain what happened and what he did so it would shut-off if this ever happens again. Thank you Pink Flamingo for sending us such a highly skilled employee! The Agelink's

Terrible experience. First of all scheduling was confusing because they changed the time and then sent confirmation for the WRONG DAY. I told them I needed to be at the house when the plumber came and they tried to convince me otherwise, so sketchy! I got there as the plumber was leaving and it was clear that the work was not complete even though they had already charged me the full $1,600. I complained to the manager and she admitted the work had not been completed but would not give a refund, only a discount if I booked with them again, so sketchy! Needless to say I will not work with them again and I have another company coming to complete the work. Don't make the same mistake I made, make sure to read all the one-star reviews first.
EDIT: You scammed me and then you call me verbally abusive for being upset about it!? Your response proves my point about how sketchy you are, while I was trying to spare the details of how incompetent you are. The pipe that you repaired was not damaged by my landscapers and definitely did not have a "large gaping hole". That's what the video camera proof is for which you never provided. If you were confused about which pipe to fix you should have waited for me, not proceeded to fix the wrong pipe.

My shower valve needed a new cartridge. The plumber went out to his van to work up a quote and came back with a price of $1100! I was very clear about how I viewed that. We're talking about a part that costs less than $100, and 30 to 45 minutes change it out. So he went out and called his office, came back with a price of $600. Aaron was personable, efficient and thorough. Good guy. But I have an issue with their pricing practices.

1). Price to replace hot and cold shower faucet cartridges was $1100, took about an hour or less - should have been about $600 according to PDX averages. (Maybe including $200 of labor). Nick did do a great job.
2). When i told my story about a steady flow leak, cust service lady did say they’d have someone out that afternoon, but did not say it was just to look at the problem & collect paymt.
3). Aaron Miller, who came that afternoon, took my paymt and seemed to know his stuff…..we discussed someone coming to do the job in the morning. He told me when they start and drive time (~45 min).
4). Late morning i called, as no one had even contacted me - and I found out I wasnt on their work schedule. It took me 3 phone calls, and then Nick did show up in very late morning & did a great job.
5). Summary - skilled workers, very poor customer service, super high prices - but in the end I’m grateful someone came and did a really good job. Communication skills and thoughtfulness are super important business skills!
I called Pink Flamingo Plumbing to look at my water heater. Jared was the technician that came. He told me that an electrician would need to replace the control box i believe it was and that could be more expensive than a new water heater. He asked how old my house was and I told him it was built in ‘53. He looked at the pipes connected to the water heater and asked if he could look at the rest because he had a bad feeling. I told him sure and he showed me the extent of damage my pipes were in. He told me they were falling apart and for safety he recommended I replaced them as well. He warned me if I did, the mainline most likely needed it as well. My pipes were literally crumbling which is why i had so much sediment from my kitchen faucet and why it was always getting clogged. I told him he might want to see my tub too as a friend told me I needed to get it replaced because it was leaking. Jared got my family a really good deal for tub, all pipes, mainline and new water heater. He even contacted Dryworks to check my subfloor under the tub to make sure there wasn't any growing dry rot. He and his coworkers worked really hard and did a fantastic job! I am super pleased that I have water pressure and hot water that doesn’t take five minutes to heat up now!
