- KRKoalani Roberts4 days ago5.0Always my #1 recommended roofer to all clients and friends, and absolutely who I will have roof my own home when the time comes. Prompt, fair, professional, pride of work, and all around a great company.
- MDMark DavisSep 30, 20265.0Just had the guys out to sweep our chimney. Very thorough, took pictures and made notes of changes in the structure, no trace they were even in the house when the were finished. In a town where good, honesty, reliable businesses are hard to find, these guys are total pro's!
- TEThomas EverndenSep 25, 20265.0I've worked with Chad on Multiple projects. The pricing is reasonable, the communication was great, and the crew did a great job of cleaning up after.
- KHKevin HeideSep 3, 20265.0Very timely service, excellent camaraderie among his crew, they were polite and professional throughout the complete job, Stan’s professional, and comfortable demeanor eased any concerns I had. He explained all about the job after it was completed and made a personal follow up visit a week or so after, to discuss any other concerns I might have had. That was an aspect of the roof job that put closure to it for me. That elevated 2nd Chance Roofing above all the rest. My decision was not based on price alone, I needed to feel I could communicate with my roofer, because in all jobs where contractors are providing service, questions arise, and so I looked for someone I felt would be available to me, before during and after the process… Stan and his company did just exactly that!
- CGChris GoinAug 3, 20265.0Second Chance did a great job installing my fireplace. On time and nicely done.
Frequently Asked Questions About 2nd Chance Roof & Chimney LLC
How do I know whether I need a new roof or roof repairs?
To determine if your roof requires repairs or a complete replacement, it's advisable to consult a licensed professional. They can provide an expert assessment based on your roof's age and composition. For residents in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas, 2nd Chance Roof & Chimney LLC offers professional inspections to evaluate your roofing needs.
Which roofing materials can I choose from?
We offer a variety of roofing materials tailored to different roof pitches. For low-slope roofs, options include membrane and metal roofing. Higher-pitched roofs can be fitted with either shingle or metal roofing. For more detailed information about roofing options in Eugene, OR, we recommend consulting with our experienced team.
How do I know which type of roof is the best choice for my home?
Selecting the ideal roof for your home depends on various factors including your property's characteristics, future plans, and budget constraints. Our team at 2nd Chance Roof & Chimney LLC is available to provide expert guidance for residents considering roof replacement in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas.
How long will it take to replace my roof?
The duration of a roof replacement project in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas varies based on factors such as roof size, pitch, and the materials being removed and installed. Typically, an average-sized roof with a normal pitch can be completed in two to three days. More complex projects, like steep-sloped roofs on larger homes, may require a week or more to complete.
Should I choose a tear-off roof replacement or a roof-over-roof construction?
For roof replacements in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas, we strongly recommend opting for a tear-off replacement. While roof-over-roof construction may seem more cost-effective initially, it often leads to significant problems. This method can reduce your roof's lifespan by half and make leak detection and repair extremely challenging. A complete tear-off ensures a more durable and reliable roofing solution.
Are there environmentally friendly roofing materials and methods I can choose from?
Yes, environmentally conscious roofing options are available. We recommend Malarkey shingles, which are manufactured using recycled rubber and plastic. These shingles offer superior longevity compared to traditional asphalt shingles and incorporate smog-reducing technology. For eco-friendly roofing solutions in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas, 2nd Chance Roof & Chimney LLC is your trusted partner.
What type of warranties do you offer?
We provide a standard 2-year workmanship warranty for all chimney and roof repair services in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas. For new roof installations, we offer an extended 5-year workmanship warranty, which includes inspections, cleanings, and moss treatments. Additionally, Malarkey products come with a 50-year transferable product warranty. Contact us for more detailed information about our warranty options.
How long does a new roof last?
The lifespan of a new roof is influenced by several factors including location, maintenance, ventilation, installation quality, and materials used. In Oregon, well-maintained asphalt shingles typically last around 25 years. Metal roofs, known for their enhanced weather resistance and durability, can last up to 50 years according to industry reports. For specific information about roof longevity in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas, please consult our team.
Can I have my roof replaced in the winter?
Absolutely. Our skilled roofing team in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas employs specialized techniques that allow for roof installation or repair regardless of weather conditions, including during winter months.
Will a roof replacement lower my energy bills?
Indeed, a new roof can contribute to reduced energy costs. It effectively seals leaks that may compromise insulation efficiency, thereby improving your home's overall energy performance. Modern roofing materials also feature enhanced solar reflectivity, which aids in heat dissipation. For more information about the energy-saving benefits of a new roof in Eugene, Roseburg and the surrounding areas, please contact 2nd Chance Roof & Chimney LLC.
