  I bought flooring products from Russ at AK Carpet before, because he was able to sell me what he had in stock. I didn't realize that if I didn't like something he had in stock, he would treat me like that. When I came back to buy more for my other place, he was trying so hard to push on me what he had in his stock now, but none were the colors I wanted. He gave me some samples to think about. I went to another place, they had the colors I wanted, and I bought my flooring from them. Today, I went to take his samples back and to ask about a piece of carpet for my other house. He nearly chased me out of there before I could tell him what I wanted, a roll of carpet he had. And because I told him about my Home Depot's purchase when he asked, I told him that Home Depot had the products and the colors I wanted at good prices. He said, I have nothing to talk to you about, and I don't want to sell you anything. You wasted my time, good by twice. I tried to honest, I didn't realize that Home Depot was his biggest competition, and he didn't want me to shop around. Simply, I got kicked out of there for being a previous customer that wanted to buy again. Needless to say, I was upset all the way home, from the way he treated me. What an attitude of a businessman. I am sorry I bought from him before, and I will never set foot in his store again.

  If you’re in the market for a new carpet the only place to go is AK Carpets in Albany, Oregon. From the moment I entered the store Rex was friendly and helpful. He showed me the range of carpet’s quality and price and was honest about the best value. When I told him I needed the job done Asap he got on it! Within the hour he’d sent an employee to my house to measure 3 bedrooms with closets, a long hallway and stairs! I had an estimate an hour later. Rex updated me with a schedule and the installers came the NEXT day, which was right before a big holiday! The guys were not only punctual, Rex said they’d be a little early. The 2 guys worked steadily from 9 to 6 and got the job done. The disgusting dog urine smell had been covered up, but my black light flashlight exposed a sickening quantity of pee! After AK there was no remnants of the odor! The job was well done and under my budget! Rex called me after the holiday to check in and I told him the job finish beyond my expectations! I would 100% use AK Carpets. They showed up when I needed them. They brought quality products and expertise to job, and worked professionally and quickly. For me there’s no other choice for carpet!

  This company truly cares about customer experience and quality. We got three quotes initially, but it was a no-brainer to go with AK Carpet because of their pricing, thorough inspection, and transparency. They pointed out potential concerns upfront so there were no surprises later — something none of the other contractors did. We had a mild miscommunication at the beginning, and they actually showed up in person to shake our hands, apologize, and make everything right. Again, it was minor, but the fact that they cared enough to handle it personally was a breath of fresh air after dealing with other contractors who had been a nightmare to work with. Our upstairs and downstairs floors look amazing. They went the extra mile in multiple areas, and communication throughout the process was excellent. We will 100% hire them again for any future projects!

  I found basically the exact flooring I was looking for to match my existing going into a single wide manufactured home on marketplace . I called ahead of time to confirm, when I arrived, everything was seamless. Was even greeted by pretty girls. To top it off Rex threw in a nice piece of transition strip by which I almost completely forgot to grab. Very appreciative of this man’s business. Thanks Rex and friends. I will return.
