I had the pleasure of having Dean Adams install my springs and fix other things on my garage door. He did a fantastic job and he was really fast. He had great conversation. So all in all he is a great guy. I wouldn’t mind having him come back anytime I have garage problems. I would for sure recommend him to anybody and all my family. Jorge was honest, very professional, informative, and helpful. Got the job done in a timely manner., answered my questions, and did not try to over charge for things that I did not need. I would definitely suggest him to help with your garage door needs. I asked him for cards so I could pass them along to other people that need help. Costumer service is a dying art and he nailed it.
I would not recommend A1 Garage Door Services based on my experience.
We scheduled an appointment, and 30 minutes before the technician was supposed to arrive, we received a call that they needed to reschedule for the following day. The next day, they called again and rescheduled a second time. Since we had never used this company before, two back-to-back cancellations before even receiving service was concerning. We considered calling another company but decided to give them a chance.
When the technician finally arrived, he spent most of the appointment opening and closing the garage door several times and programming a remote while following a YouTube video. Looking back, it was something we likely could have done ourselves.
The bigger issue was that within 15 minutes of the technician leaving, our garage door completely stopped working and would not open or close at all. I called customer service, and they sent another technician. After a brief inspection, we were told repairs would cost at least $800 and likely closer to $1,200.
At that point, given the multiple scheduling issues and the fact that the door had stopped working immediately after their visit, we declined the additional work. I then contacted customer service because I had been told when booking the appointment that the service call would be $59, but I was charged $189 instead. The representative apologized, acknowledged that this was not the typical experience, and told me a partial refund would be processed immediately.
Several days later, we still have not received that refund. What we have received are multiple text messages asking us to leave a review.
My frustration is not just with the garage door repair itself, but with the repeated lack of follow-through. The appointment times were not honored, the quoted pricing did not match what we were charged, and the promised refund has not been delivered. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend A1 Garage Door Services.
We found someone to do the same service for $550 next day.

Another great experience!! Scheduling the appointment was super easy. I was given an 8AM to ! PM time slot and was told the technician would contact me when he was on his way.. At 7:30 AM got a text from the tech, Justin, that he and a trainees were just leaving and I was first on the list. He would see me at 8. Along with that message he included a picture of himself as an added safety for me.
Justin showed up right at 8 AM, introduced himself and his trainee, explained to me exactly what they were going to do and what they would be checking. And went to work.
After there check Justin showed me what they had found, told me the repairs needed and suggested some routes to follow, explaining the pros and cons of each.
I made my choice for repairs and Justin and the trainee got to work. Justin did explain to me that the repairs might take a little bit longer than usual since he was training and the trainee would be doing the work. He assured me that the work would still be quality work, he wasn't just leaving the trainee to do it and he would be overseeing every step.
After the repairs Justin showed me everything they had done, operated my door several times and verified that I was satisfied.
Who could ask for anything more? In todays world it is becoming harder and harder to find businesses that still value customer satisfaction and stand behind what they do...A1 does and they instill this same ethic in their workers as demonstrated by Justin and Logan, the trainee. Like the commercial says" A1 from day 1!"
