    If your contractor uses these guys for materials and then doesn't pay their bill, Hughes will threaten to put a lien on the home owner because of a contractors deliquent debt. Be wary. Law or no law this is a shady practice to threaten home owners who held up their end of the bargain.

    This place has been a bit of a mixed bag. Okayish service sometimes it's closed before 5 PM. It's supposed to be a lumber store, but it doesn't have a lot of options when it comes to lumber.

    My husband and I went to look at siding, trim and wood for our fireplace mantle. We were greeted and waited on by the manager himself! A servanthood attitude. Great customer service, friendly staff and very accommodating. Hometown feel. Thanks Hughes Lumber!
