All was fine until this Friday evening when, with all the current rain going on, I discovered that water was dripping and puddling underneath and inside my 3-week-old Electric Panel. Upon further research via YouTube I discovered that most likely I had an outdoor issue with the Service Line, Meter Box, etc. So, I had ANOTHER Electric Company come out yesterday to evaluate the situation. Everything on line basically advises that when water has entered an electric panel and all the breakers including the main breaker, the best course of action is to replace it. I am aware than some people might just get the leak fixed and keep the compromised Electric Panel. I chose to get a new panel. Today I had a new Electric Panel and all of the outdoor stuff (service line, meter box, weatherhead, grounding, etc.) installed by different local company. With MISTER SPARKY I spent around $3,327.00 and as far as I am concerned, I threw that money down the toilet. Maybe it was my responsibility to tell the Mister Sparky workers to check the outside service line to make sure it was not compromised. But I am a 74 year old man who is not an electrician. I do know that they took a picture of it, but that is all they did. So today I spent another almost $7,000.00 to have everything done all over with all new stuff on the inside and outside of the house by another Electric company. Easy come, easy go I guess? Based on my sad experience with Mister Sparky of Greater Columbus, I cannot recommend that you use this company.
