  We had electric service added for a hot tub installed, recessed lighting installed in an office, GFCI added to a pool area outlet and a new main electric service box installed. First of all, we had a few quotes for the work and West Jefferson was very reasonable and thousands of dollars less than some other quotes for the service we were looking for. The quoting and scheduling process was very easy. The installation went very smoothly and Ryan, our technician, did everything he could to avoid having to cut drywall for the hot tub service install and the recessed lighting, which saved us a lot of money in the end. We did end up having a minor issue after they completed the work and came back out very quickly to diagnose and repair the problem. I would highlight recommend West Jefferson Plumbing and Heating to anyone.

  Installed new light fixture in kitchen ceiling and a dimmer switch for same. Efficient, answered all my questions, hauled away packing material and old fixture parts. Should have worn shoe covers as I was not happy to see all the dirt tracked into the house from shoes. He did thoughtfully sweep up afterwards.

  My experience was the best. From the first contact needing a quote, to me calling on Tuesday to see when I could get my hot water heater installed. The VA chose West Jeff Heating and Plumbing The guys got here same day between 12-4. The guys were super efficient and professional. I had hot water 30 min after they left.

  My drain stack was leaking in several places (copper circa 1970) and needed to be replaced. I called them Thursday, they were at my house first thing Friday, and they did the job same day. They replaced the whole thing over a couple of hours, cleaned up after themselves, checked for leaks, and were on their way. Price was reasonable, and the job is done.

  I contacted West Jefferson twice regarding electrical work identified in a home inspection report. The first time, I called and emailed the report ahead of the appointment, but the electrician arrived without having reviewed it. The estimate we received afterward did not address all the items identified in the report. When I called to clarify what was included, the receptionist was unfamiliar with the project and said someone would call me back. Unfortunately, no one ever did, and my follow-up email also went unanswered. A few months later, my father reached out to give the company another opportunity. Unfortunately, we experienced the same issues. An electrician came out and provided a quote, but when we called and emailed to clarify what work was included, we received no response. I understand that businesses get busy, but clear communication and follow-through are important, especially when addressing electrical concerns identified during a home inspection. We made multiple attempts to get answers on two separate occasions and were disappointed by the lack of communication both times. Ultimately, we were unable to get the clarification we needed to move forward with the work.While the electricians seem personable, the communication is poor.
