Very Bad Experience I had a very disappointing experience with this company and cannot recommend them based on my personal experience. The hardwood flooring quality was far below my expectations. Too many of the boards did not fit together properly, the finish was poor, and the material scratched and cracked much more easily than I would expect from a premium hardwood floor. I ordered approximately 2,000 square feet to cover a 1,650-square-foot area. Despite ordering significantly more than required (over 100 boxes), I still had to purchase an additional four boxes because so many boards were unusable due to quality issues. When I contacted customer service, I was asked to send an unopened box for inspection. Since every box had already been opened during installation, I sent a representative sample from an opened box. The company refused to inspect it solely because the box had been opened—even though it was their own product and accurately represented the material I received. When I asked how to proceed, I was told that I would need to hire and pay an independent flooring inspector to prepare a report, after which they would review the report before deciding whether to take any action. I found this process unreasonable, especially under these circumstances. I also spoke with multiple representatives throughout the company, hoping to find a practical solution. Unfortunately, despite numerous conversations, I was never offered a meaningful resolution. I could not find anyone in management or leadership who was willing to take ownership of the issue, and I often received inconsistent information from different representatives. The product is advertised with a lifetime warranty, but based on my experience, I have serious concerns about its durability and long-term performance. I invested approximately $16,000 in this flooring and deeply regret that decision. I expect the company may respond to this review by apologizing for my experience and offering to contact me. However, I have already spent considerable time trying to resolve this matter through their customer service channels without success. At this point, I am looking for a real solution—not another apology or another request to repeat the same process. While I am still considering my legal options, I wanted to share my experience so that other customers can make an informed decision. If you are considering purchasing flooring from this company and would like to learn more about my experience, I would be happy to share the facts and documentation. This review reflects my personal experience and is intended to help other consumers make an informed decision. Update: The company responded to this review with a generic apology and stated that they would like to discuss the matter further. However, no manager’s name, direct phone number, email address, or specific resolution was provided. This reflects the same experience I had throughout this process—polite responses, but no practical solution or clear path to resolving the issue.

Horrible customer service. We had went to Lumber Liquidators in North Olmsted a few months ago because we were needing to put in all new floors in our home in preparation for our baby due in August. We had went in on a Saturday, picked out samples, and paid the $49 in house estimate fee for them to come out to our house and give us a price for installation. We were told their contractor would call us that Monday or Tuesday to set up a date and time. Never heard anything from the contractor that whole week even after calling lumber liquidators. They would say they would “let him know to reach out”. He reached out that following Saturday, 7 days later, and then wanted to schedule for the following week. We had already had several other estimates that came out to our house in the time that we weren’t being answered by lumber liquidators, and decided to go with one of them. I requested a refund, which they said I would receive since the inspection was never done. They said I’d receive that refund within 7 days and it has been about 2 months now. I’ve called and spoke with someone on 4 different occasions trying to get this refund and keep getting the run around. The last time I called was two weeks ago, left a voicemail, and no return call. I shouldn’t have to remind a company to refund me my money. Ridiculous.

I have a beautiful new kitchen, foyer and hallway floor and it’s all thanks to Joseph MATA at the North Olmsted store. Thru no fault of his own, the person I placed my order with quit. Then the one who replaced him also quit. By the time Joseph MATA was able to discern what fell thru the cracks, we were three salespeople in and I was losing hope I would get my order as I needed. He search all the stores to find my missing items that were holding up installation, which already had an install date. It was a nightmare with no end in sight. Joe worked tirelessly sometimes and calling me with updates FOUR times per day. Some of the scheduled items never had gotten ordered so he immediately refunded those and also the excess flooring and quarter rounds that were not used. The installation was efficient and they cleaned up thoroughly. Joe MATA is a rock star and should get a raise and promotion. He is an asset to this company and understands the meaning of customer service.
