Quality Heating & Cooling have been servicing our home for nearly 40 years. We use their service contract so that they show up in the fall to check on the furnace and in the spring to check on the AC.
This spring they replaced our 23 year old Trane AC with a new Trane. Initially, Mike came out to perform the annual spring check up. He was on time, friendly and professional. He let us know the AC would still limp along, although not very efficiently, with or without several advisable repairs. After discussion with Mike we realized it was time to bite the bullet and get a quote on a new AC. So, we scheduled an appointment to meet with Dan later that afternoon. Dan was also on time, friendly and professional. It was Dan’s job to assess the house (windows, air flow, other AC wonk stuff) and determine what would best fit our needs. Dan was extremely knowledgeable and well informed and very patient. We had a lot of questions but in the end we knew it was time. I won’t kid you, ACs are not cheap, Tranes, in particular, but, based on our prior experience, very much worth it. Quality had a nice incentive on the labor warranty if we were willing in install within 7 days. So, 2 days later, Steve was knocking on our door bright and early, yes, and on time, friendly and professional. He and his crew installed the new AC and were done by noon. They worked cleanly and efficiently. Steve walked us through at the end both inside and outside and made sure he answered all of our questions. And one week later it’s 85 outside we’re enjoying the new AC.
Needless to say we have met and spoken with many Quality personnel over the years, both in person and on the phone. We have always found them to be reliable, professional, honest and trustworthy.
This place is a scam. While they are legitimately skilled, certified heating and cooling technicians, their goal is to upsell to make more money for the company. Last year a technician came out just for an AC $65-100 dollar tune up, and he tried to upsell a bunch of stuff that would have came to $2,000 dollars. I declined and had him just clean and hose out the AC. Interestingly I called this year to have them come out for just a tune up again in the $65-100 range and the girl passive aggressively scheduled me 6 weeks out after I told her all I will want again is the tune up. In other words, they were hoping I would just cancel as who actually waits almost 2 months for just a tune up. My intuitions were correct as they called an hour before my appointment saying the technician was sick. If he truly was sick, of course that is understandable but it was likely he didn't want to come out for something he thought I could do by myself. The guy that called to tell me of the cancelation was nice on the phone but basically admitted they don't prioritize tune ups like they do AC or Furnace breakdowns. I told him I didn't want to reschedule and good luck with their company. Again, he was cordial but basically didn't care.
Do not use this company. They were offering a special to go through your air conditioner for $49.00 so I thought I would give them a try. That was a huge mistake! First they told me my fan wasn't kicking on. They would have to charge me $99.00 for a diagnostic. I knew that was a lie because we were using our a.c. and had no problems. Then I get a call that a sensor was bad and the estimate to repair it would be $3,300.00 . I said don't worry about it I wasn't paying that. I asked if he left it the way it was and he said no. He bypassed the sensor and it wasn't working. That was lie #2. So i called another company and asked what they would charge to replace the sensor and they said they would have to run their own diagnostic but they could do it for $300.00 . Huge difference! They came out the next day and said there is nothing wrong with our air conditioner. So no charge! I called Quantity's service manager for 2 days now and no return call. So now they will put up with my wrath of bashing them on every social media platform! All I wanted was my money back for their fraudulent claims. Rant over 🤬

This company is wonderful. Scheduling was a breeze. Was kept informed of tech arrival & even rec'd background info on the technician. That's a first for me. Appt was to diagnose an aged central A/C unit. However, a much more serious problem was discovered when technician used a scope camera inside furnace. Rec'd a clear summary of visit plus emailed photo of furnace interior. Technician was polite, friendly & well informed. I highly, highly recommend this company!

Josh Forbes did a final walk through and tested our new furnace and air conditioner. He was very thorough and professional. He took time to explain how to operate our new thermostat and even set it up for us. Quality has been with us step by step from Quentin in sales, Darin and his crew on our installation (excellent), and today with Josh. We don't anticipate any problems with our Trane gear, but if we do, we know our Quality team is just a phone call away!
