  Called to see about having a tech come out to diagnose a poorly functioning water heater. The person I spoke with answered the phone as "Five Star Home Services," which felt a bit like a bait and switch, as I thought I was calling Fairborn Drain and Plumbing. (I guess they got bought out?) Anyway, I was informed it was a $99 service fee just to send someone out, and any repairs would be in addition to that fee. If I wanted an estimate on replacing my water heater, I could text photos to them of my current heater and setup. They did not offer an in-person estimate option. I called another company out of Fairborn that would send someone out for free to diagnose my current issue and give me an estimate on repairs and also replacing the heater. I went ahead and texted Five Star so I could compare prices. Five Star was more expensive with a lesser quality brand of water heater. I replied to the texter the next day and said I was going with another company. Even after that, I got more texts and also a phone call asking me if I wanted to take them up on their estimate.
