  Water heater went out sometime in the afternoon. I needed to get it replaced right away, hopefully the next day. Atherton was the 3rd company I contacted as the others could not get to me by Thursday or they had to get back to me with availability. Atherton told me they could get out the next morning. They arrived at 8:30 the next morning and problem solved by 11:00 Nicholas was prompt professional and explained everything thoroughly to me.

  Atherton has been nothing but accommodating, competent, and trustworthy. They have done multiple projects for us since buying our house 3 years ago, including putting a liner in our main drain and replacing all of our water lines. They have personalized their care for our home. We truly appreciate their expertise and their attention to their customers!

  Scheduled an appointment online after I saw water coming out on the floor around our hallway toilet. The service was perfect! Not only did I get a phone call within the window, I got a text with a picture of the assigned plumber and their arrival time. Pricing is a little higher than I expected for a wax ring repair and clog removal, but the service was top-notch. Thank you Atherton!

  We had a plumbing emergency and I called Atherton Plumbing, they sent out Anthony within 30 minutes. I love the idea that they texted me his picture and a little bio about him before he came out so I knew who to expect. He was very kind, patient and answered all my questions. He even let my dad who has dementia feel like he was helping him. Before he got started he walked us through what needed to be done and quoted a price. We even ask if he had time to look at our faucet outside, he said that he would be happy to check it out. Both issues got fixed and price was cheaper than quoted, I never had that happened!! We really appreciate how they made our emergency a priority and took care of it quickly. I would recommend this company to anyone, they were Amaxing!! Thank-you so much for your help Jamie Brown

  Atherton Plumbing has been my exclusive go-to plumber for several years now. They have installed multiple new toilets and they installed a tankless hot water heater for me a few years ago. Every year I have them come out and flush the tank to keep the system clean from mineral buildup. The first year i had them flush the tank. I believe it was under $200. This week they charged me $491. I was floored. I asked the guy why the price was so expensive, and he said, labor. I understand things go up in price over time, but this is highway robbery. Professional rates usually run between $150 and $350 with the national average being $200. What's even more upsetting is most professionals use food grade white vinegar which cost between $10-20 and some use a solution that is under $50. Regardless of what chemical they use, the amount they charge to flush the tank is outrageous. Unfortunately, I will not be using them again. The service technicians are wonderful. I've always enjoyed the people that have came to my house, but with a yearly flushing costing 1/6 of what I bought the water heater for, I can't justify spending that anymore for that specific service.
