I do not have a good experience with Rockford Homes. I closed on my home 5 months ago and we are yet to get sod. They would prioritize sales (new homes who use closing as a bargaining chip) over completing the pending work. Construction Quality: One thing that I noticed with my basement is that the heating pipes block the window. They are not even willing to speak to their subcontractor to channel their venting pipe differently. If I ever plan on completing my basement, I will have to call a contractor to reroute those ducts so that my windows are visible. In addition to the above, be prepared for falling door handles, wrongly connected vents, uneven heating (with their Dover model), very loose plumbing, frequently tripping powerlines (Thanks to MD Electric their subcontractor). Rockford homes rush in contractors before closing and so the quality of work takes a big hit. Overall, I would think twice before choosing Rockford and NEVER NEVER close if all things are not in order.

When taking internal measurements of our home built by Rockford especially basement walls and items... Nothing was really plumb, quite disappointed in this regard. This was a house we purchased and originally built by Rockford about 18 years ago.

I am posting this publicly after repeated failed attempts to resolve serious construction defects directly with Rockford Homes. The home I purchased in Cincinnati has had a major sewer defect dating back to original construction. The sewer line from the home was never properly connected and was left capped, resulting in a non functional system, ground saturation, and sewage leakage. This required extensive excavation and concrete removal to identify and correct. MSD and Forbeck Plumbing ultimately located the correct sewer tap and completed the repair, confirming the original installation was defective. In addition, the home had a ventilated soffit defect that allowed moisture intrusion, which led to interior mold damage throughout the first floor ceiling. Interior and soffit repairs have since been completed. What is most concerning is that Rockford Homes was aware of the sewer issue as early as 2022, prior to the home being sold, when it was reported to MSD. A warranty complaint was also submitted in 2022. Additional notice was provided again in 2025 and most recently in 2026. Despite repeated notice, no meaningful response or corrective action has been taken. Rockford Homes advertises a 15 year transferable structural warranty stating that major structural elements will be free from major defects. The conditions described above directly contradict that representation. Formal complaints have already been submitted to the Ohio Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, with additional complaints being filed with the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board and local code enforcement. I am still willing to resolve this matter directly, but at this point it is important that others are aware of this experience. If you post your issues on their Facebook profile, they will delete the entire post, delete your comment and or block you to ensure the public is not informed about their business practices. When it comes to construction companies, Rockford Homes is about as bad as they come

It was a great experience from start to closing date. Michelle Erickson was absolutely amazing. She met with us numerous times and lead the pathway to a new home. She is an outstanding saleswoman. I highly recommend Rockford Homes to anyone.
