I got the original quote from Ed, the owner, and working with him was different than with other companies. He is very patient, congenial, and his top priority is quality; the opposite of pushy sales guys that overpromise & underdeliver. And even with the focus on quality and end result, the quoted price was very competitive. The scope was to replace the cedar lap siding on one side of the house with Hardie lap, due to woodpecker damage. I also wanted to embellish the gable with board & batten, and it was not an issue--other companies said no or tacked on a surcharge for anything "custom". Ed had great ideas regarding design, layout, and colors that helped a lot. The crew that came out was extremely hardworking, dedicated to quality, and respectful. They also repaired a few other spots: where the bottom row of cedar lap was rotten from being covered in the garden and where the cedar lap was installed too close to the roof shingles. Overall, a truly great company to work with.
