Sexist staff will mansplain your needs to you rather than actually helping you. I went in and asked where to find a very specific item. The old man working there asked me what I wanted it for. I told him, not seeing right away where this was going. While I was doing so a male customer came into the store and the employee pointed him to the correct aisle without question. He then tried to sell me something different than what I'd asked for, telling me that's what I really wanted. I explained that no, it wasn't, I already tried that, and it didn't work. Why does a woman have to ask, "May I please buy the thing I actually came here for?" while a man gets immediately pointed in the right direction? This is why I'll choose the big box stores in the future.

Very nice and easy to work with- somehow the screen we just paid to repair was damaged at bottom; this will cost us more time more work to take off, drive again wait again- put back together...can we be sure this 2nd time screen will not have holes?

My parents been going to this place for a long time last time. They got seven screens for a little over $300 that was 2018 before their condo caught on fire. They lived right across from this place on Chandler’s Lane. Fast forwarding to now I called this place and they want $.40 per square inch. So I have two screens in my living room ranch that measure approximately 57 x 20“ wide. They are more tall than they are wide so at that price my two screens would be over $900. And I called them twice just to verify cause I thought I was hearing things and I called other hardware stores in the area and they agree that’s outrageous So trying to find somewhere else I wonder if they’re under new ownership. But I won’t give them less than three stars because I’m being respectful because it’s a small business But that’s a shame

This hardware store is a little gem in the heart of Columbia Station. The gentleman employee (manager?) is always incredibly kind and helpful and never makes me feel intimidated or silly for any questions I ask or needs I have. I highly recommend supporting this small local business over big box stores!
