AC wasnt cooling the house; technician came at the earlier end of the time window given, was incredibly respectful, helpful, and courteous, had a very quick diagnosis, and completed service in short order. Offered to let us save money if we wanted to clean our unit ourselves, but we opted to let the pro handle it! Exceedingly impressed and happy with all work done by VEH- dont go anywhere else for any HVAC needs you might have!

I had set up for a technician to come and assess some issues with the piping, Ventingand radiators associated with our boiler system Of steam heat in our 100+ year-old home. He was prompt, courteous, professional, knew what he was doing maintained good communication and explained fees/charges before performing what was needed. He did not push for additional things to be done. I was very happy with the service he provided. At age 76, I believe I show my age that prices seemed substantial. I expect they are standard for what he did. Most everything seems more expensive to me now than it seemed a number of years ago. this is not attributable to this technician or this plumbing firm, but rather to the state of affairs in the USA. Hopefully a miracle will happen, and the country will elect politicians that are more interested in serving us, the people rather than concentrating on their selves, their cronies, and their likelihood of reelection. This applies to both parties. It is unlikely to impact me, but my children and grandchildren will have to deal with the huge and increasing national debt that both parties have caused.

Great company to work with! Service was incredible! The scheduling was quick and sooner than expected- thank you! Dan and Keith installed our new furnace. They were very professional and gave me a thorough walk through once they were done. Explained how everything NOW works. Everything cleaned up and looking as it was. Absolutely would recommend!

Derek Upchurch who works for Verne & Ellsworth it GREAT! He did a great job yesterday! Verne and Ellsworth, on the other hand, is meh. I scheduled a furnace service last fall and they called saying the couldn't come that day. We rescheduled to the end of December and they were a no-show. I did the furnace maintenance myself. Next I schedule a spring A/C maintenance. The day before that service they called and rescheduled. This is disappointing! Yesterday Derek showed up and did a great job -- apparently he was recently hired. The service guy is great, management - no so much. I think they want to only handle emergencies because they can charge much higher rates. For those of us to do regular maintenance and keep our systems working well, we suffer.

Derek Lau was great. Knowledgeable, friendly, professional. The job was done, questions were answered, explanations were given, and all with a smile and easy-going attitude. Five stars Derek! So why the three stars? In the late fall early winter of last year another tech was here to do som preventative maintenance on our steam radiator boiler system. When I started to ask some questions about the radiators (I’m new to this type of heating system and have some concerns about some radiators being hotter than others) I was told that would require a service call and “I’m really a furnace guy; I don’t normally do boilers.” Rather than lambast the fella’ here on Google, I called the company to speak to a manager. Why would you send a furnace guy that can’t answer radiator questions to a house know to have a boiler? “Well, if you want the service in a timely fashion, that’s all we have at the moment.” So, essentially the customer is penalized for a management problem? Lack of techs and scheduling? Thankfully there are tons of places online to get my answers and by putting on my sailor’s cap (I was a machinist in the Navy) I think I can figure out how to fix the leaking valve stems and replace the vents with adjustable ones. Oh, and for all you vets out there: no veteran discount here either. I have also learned that this is no longer a “locally owned and family run” business anymore. Sadly, they have sold out to a conglomerate and all your calls go to a call center somewhere in OH. I have to think long and hard as to whether I’ll keep using them for service and maintenance.
