  I had a service upgrade to 200 amps and a trenching + subpanel job done with Blind. Matt and Steve did a great job on the actual work they were hired to do. Where Blind & Sons dropped the ball though was on the follow through. The inspection was scheduled late. They ignored all the days I initially gave them and then called me weeks later asking for more days. The permit that was filed itself was insufficiently descriptive and the county inspector had to have them correct it. Even after everything was passed and has been fully paid for over a month, they have yet to come back and fill in the trench. Even after two phone calls management has yet to even have someone call me to schedule anything or fill the trench. I had to fill in part of the trench myself just so I could reasonably mow my back lawn, spare a garden plant, and keep water away from the foundation. This is a bit sweet review because the work that was done by the technicians was great. At the same time, this follow up is pretty ... unacceptable. I know Blind was sold within the last couple of years and is no longer solely family owned. I can't help but wonder if this is another tale of a good local business being squeezed towards disfunction by out of state capital.

  Matthew did an excellent job with my A/C maintenance. You are in good hands when Matthew is assigned to you. He explained every step of his process and showed me several tips and trips to keep in mind between maintenance cycles. He restored my outdoor A/C unit to appearing nearly brand new after cleaning off the interior of the unit which had collected enough dust and debris to be fully insulated (in the worst way) prior to his maintenance. I highly recommend Matthew for routine HVAC maintenance and I know he’d be at the top of my list to help in a pinch as well. Thanks Matthew!

  Plumber extraordinaire Karl Metzger at Blind & Sons very capably handled our many residential plumbing issues including increasing water pressure in our sinks & showers, repairing an uncommon older toilet, and diagnosing our hot water tank circulation issues. He is very competent and was willing to also describe the work to APHW for our home warranty claim. We appreciate the expertise & will definitely call him / them next time.

  Yesterday I had my spring maintenance checkup on my AC. Stephanie Eisemon was the tech who performed this service. She was great. She first checked my furnace and then went outside and took my AC unit apart. She gave it a good cleaning, including removing a mouse nest ! She suggested a chemical spray to discourage the mice from returning. Stephanie took pictures of my units and explained everything she saw. I would love to have Stephanie do all of my maintenance visits.

  Denny did a great job replacing our garbage disposal as well as repairing both outside spigots. We ran into an issue with our main shut off valve being broken, which lead to us finding out that it was also broken at the curb. The city ended up having to repair that before Denny could finish the rest of the job. He came back a few days after the city repaired their part to finish the job. He did well at explaining what needed to happen and how he was going to repair things. I’m glad we were able to find out about the shut off valve and curb issue or we could have ran into a very large problem if we had a pipe burst and not able to shut off the water.
