  I want to write the kind of review I'd want to read if I were searching for a water softener company, so I'll share some specifics. MY SITUATION My 13+ year old 48k resin softener system with prefilter had stopped working properly. QUOTES & PRICING I contacted several highly-rated companies for quotes. Most came in around $2,500 out the door for a basic Clack 48k softener system with a 20" prefilter — and nearly all of them immediately pushed me toward buying new. Donamarc was different. Their rep actually examined my old system first and walked me through some repairs that could have gotten it working again. I appreciated the honesty, even though I ultimately decided a replacement made more sense than investing more money into an aging unit. For a new system, Donamarc came in at $2,450 for a basic setup or $2,850 for a high-efficiency Vesta system with a better warranty. I chose the Vesta, but I was never pressured to do so — the rep explained both options clearly, answered all my questions, and let me decide. They also accept credit cards with no added fee, which was a nice bonus since I was able to earn rewards on the purchase. One thing worth knowing upfront: Donamarc charges around $100 for the in-home assessment. If you buy a system through them, it's waived — which is what happened in my case. But I do think that fee should be communicated clearly when you schedule, since it's not a free estimate. I'm not holding it against them, just flagging it so others aren't caught off guard. Also worth noting regardless of which company you choose: roughly half of what you pay is for the physical equipment, and the other half covers installation, labor, and the company's expertise and support. That's just the nature of the industry. INSTALLATION The installer arrived on time, was professional and personable, and did excellent work. The job was completed in about 3 hours. He left the space clean and hauled away my old system — no hassle on my end. OVERALL Donamarc earned my trust by being straightforward when they could have easily just sold me something. The pricing was fair, the install was smooth, and the whole experience was low-stress. I'd recommend them without hesitation to anyone in the Northeast Ohio area.

  Had a great experience with Donamarc, especially Brian, Brayden and Dennis. Long story short, I was completely drug through the mud by another company over the last month and a half and I wish I would have found Donamarc sooner. The staff was professional and knowledgeable with constant pressure systems and they were able to diagnose in minutes what the other company couldn't over a span of 6 weeks and thousands of dollars wasted. They worked through terrible weather to ensure that we weren't left without water and they warranty the work. Will have a customer for life!

  We had a wonderful experience with Donamarc Water Systems. The day after I called, they sent Dominic out to take a look at our 22-year-old Kinetico softener. Dom was extremely competent and helpful. It was determined that our old softener was no longer working. The very next day, Keven came out and installed our new softener. We’re thrilled with the soft water that we unknowingly, have not had for the last year. Kenetico wanted $6100 to replace our old softener. Donamarc did the job for just under $3000. I am so pleased I reached out to them. My son-in-law had used them on a new build two years ago and mentioned they were very easy to do business with and encouraged me to call them. Several days later, I received a thank you note in the mail along with a small gift which was a nice gesture.

  Had a wonderful experience using Donamarc to replace my Iron Filter system this past week. For starters, I love the automatic texting that shows the estimated ETA and the employees' photos, so you know who is coming. Cory did a great job with the installation. I work from home and I was so busy unfortunately I didn't really get to talk to him much, but he was kind, professional and did an awesome job. There's also a funny story here involving a rouge filter wrench, but I'll leave it at that.. he'll laugh if he ever reads this.. ;) There was an issue however with the product after installation, but Dom and Matthew were able to get here quickly and get it corrected without any other issues. Thanks so much to everyone for the wonderful service. Much appreciated and highly recommended.
