  We were about to close on a house in Beacon which had all brand new windows- Window World sticker still attached- when the inspector pointed out that the windows did not meet Beacon code. Despite selling the prior owner the more expensive 27’s, what they had given him were 28’s. We had to delay our closing, and Window World demanded we pay $250 for them to “transfer the warranty” to us, the new owners, to fix what should have been done correctly the first time. We did, and shortly after closing they came and switched out 19 windows, while the house was still vacant and under construction. Two weeks later, upon moving in, I discovered just how poor their work is. I have enclosed some pictures of what they consider “finished work’. Windows are not sealed well. Breeze comes through as well as all kinds of bugs. Most of them are missing trim on at least one part. And they look awful. My request that Window World come fix this led to them offering to send a sales rep. My request that they send me a copy of the original contract, which I paid $250 to have transferred to us as new owners, has been igonred three times. Rude and very dishonest, but I don’t need to go on further. My pictures speak for themselves.

  I have lived in my home for 25 years, 20 of them as a single person. I have had many contractors in my historic home, but there has never been a crew or a company as reliable and professional as Window World of the Hudson Valley. As a woman, I often was at the mercy of unscrupulous workers, but having this experience has given me great hope and joy. (Women, if you know, you know.) Speaking for myself, I want to highlight the things that made this process simple from start to finish. - The initial consultation with the Hudson valley rep (we had Greg) was a NO PRESSURE experience. He measured windows, explained the excellent warranty and financing options (we took the 0% financing) and let us decide. He encouraged us to get other estimates, and did not harangue us. - The owner personally came to our house to ensure the measurements were perfect, and to evaluate any potential issues that could arise. - The company took care of the building permit, and produced all paperwork necessary to do the work in a legal manner, compliantly with the historic society where I live. - We received a call that our windows were ready, scheduled the date of installation, and the workers showed up EXACTLY AT THE TIME WE DISCUSSED. No excuses, no problems. - The workers went right to work, and the owner arrived shortly after. Before we knew it, 6 windows were installed, with NO MESS, NO DRAMA and no noise. They were like mice. In. Out. My house was cleaner than it was before they arrived, and the windows are gorgeous. - Every bit of trim, caulking, insulation… DONE. I’m not looking at windows that now need another contractor to trim them out. I’m so pleased. I’m so, so happy. It is such a RELIEF to know that the Hudson Valley Window World crew will be able to return when we are ready for the next phase of our work. I can’t thank this company enough. The work and the professionalism was extraordinary. Thank you!
