I am extremely disappointed with this roofing company and the way my situation has been handled. I have had an ongoing roof leak or over three months, and despite the seriousness of the issue, the company has failed to come out and correct the problem The shingles appear to have been improperly installed, with insufficient nailing, and I believe this poor workmanship is contributing to the leaks. I paid for professional roofing services and expected the job to be completed properly, with the company standing behind its work. Instead, I have been left dealing with water intrusion and waiting months for a resolution. I also have serious concerns about the company's hiring and employment practices. Based on what I understand, workers on the crew were undocumented, and I have concerns about whether the company is complying with applicable employment laws. I believe customers deserve transparency about the people performing work on their homes and the standards under which that work is completed. What concerns me most is the lack of accountability. A roofing company should not leave a customer with an unresolved leak for three months without addressing the problem. Based on my experience, I would urge anyone considering this company to do their due diligence, verify the company's credentials, ask about its employment and installation practices, and obtain written workmanship warranties before signing a contract. I would not recommend this company based on my experience with the workmanship and the lack of follow-up service.

AVA Roofing was a wonderful experience from quote to the installation of our roof. The estimator was not pushy at all, and gave some good, honest thoughts about what we should consider for our house. The installation team was efficient, and no complaints about the work completed. During installation, there was a couple of areas of rot in the roof, and they took the time to show/explain what needed to be fixed. They even offered to come earlier than estimated to install it.

I can’t thank this company’s employees enough for their kindness. My car died in the middle of the road with my daughter inside, making an already stressful situation even more frightening. Even though helping stranded drivers has nothing to do with their job, they stopped, helped push my car out of the road, and went out of their way to get me enough gas to reach a gas station. They helped us simply out of the kindness of their hearts. That says so much about the people representing this company. My daughter and I are incredibly grateful, and I would give them more than five stars if I could!

Edit: After posting the review below (Friday), I received a call the next day (Saturday) and the damaged trim was replaced and the issue was resolved on Monday so I'm upgrading the review from a negative (2 star) to a neutral (3 star). I was really hoping to leave a positive review because the materials and work ethic of the roofing crew and the gutter sub-contractor was excellent but 3 months later I can't. (Roof seems to be ok through the torrential rains of early September. Hopefully it holds as well when the winter storms arrive.) Clean-up could have been better. It was a good thing that I had use of a rolling/wheel magnet to get nails out of our driveway, our garden and our neighbors yard. Communication, accountability and follow through are very poor. Still waiting, after three months, for a windowsill trim piece that was damaged when debris was tossed off the roof to be replaced. I've gotten "stories" but still a no show and now no responses to texts or emails. However, they were very good at communicating when they wanted final payment before the job was finished and when asking for reviews and referrals. Gutter sub-contractor showed up without warning (even though we asked AVA to advise a date) as we were leaving to do errands. If we had missed them, they wouldn't have known what we wanted done. Excellent workers, excellent materials but poor customer service.
