  I’m sharing this as a warning to others looking for a roofing contractor. When I hired this company in 2025, I believed their work would be completed by their own internal team. Instead, the job was handed off to a subcontracted crew without any clear communication beforehand. The group that showed up did not meet the level of professionalism I expected. They came across as inexperienced and disorganized, not what you’d anticipate from a company charging premium rates. It felt more like a makeshift operation than a skilled, reliable crew. For the price I paid, I expected transparency and a higher standard of service. Finding out the work was outsourced at the last minute was frustrating and disappointing. Overall, the experience left me feeling misled and not getting the value I paid for.

  My husband (Paul Wagner)and I got estimates from several roofing companies. We were impressed with Adam and his low pressure sales approach. When the roofing crew showed up, we were both impressed and pleased with Lucy and her crew. As well as supervisors John and Billy. We have a 3 story older home and all aspects of the house and the garage roofs look great. They left our property as clean as they found it! We would highly recommend Ava Roofing!

  I hired Ava to side my house in Tonawanda in 2023. As soon as I signed the paperwork salesperson Adam's attitude became negative towards me, and I rarely saw him while the work was being done. When the crew showed up, they nearly started working on the wrong house, and counter to plan they blocked our driveway with the dumpster. The workers were nice, seemed technically proficient, and a lot of good work was done to be sure. But the manager I met named Serg was short-tempered and insulting; he would later call me on a Saturday afternoon and interrogate me rudely. They left a bunch of supplies, my property was a mess, they broke a light fixture, and they didn't follow instructions. They also charged me extra, which Adam said he would adjust but only adjusted favorably for him. And they didn't complete the main tasks I asked for. Serg and Adam were never with me at the same time and would confuse me with industry jargon and conflicting terms. When they left I knew these problems existed but I was so happy to see these rude men leave I kept my mouth shut; however two years later I am still finding debris and nails, and discovering details I wished they had done. I have to take responsibility for the result I got, but I do reget hiring Ava. It bothers me to read reviews about how clean they work, as my experience was far different.
