  Bhim Basnet is a professional and pleasant technician and seemingly very knowledgeable. I trust the work he did and hope that he advances within the company. I would be glad to see him in the future for service calls or installations.

  We've been using Cooney for years, primarily for our annual furnace maintenance. 3 days ago, our furnace had an issue. They had a tech come out that same day. Unfortunately, our furnace had died. The next day, Ron (who is an unbelievably nice person) came out to talk about our options for replacing the unit. It was a no-pressure conversation and he explained everything in a very clear way. Yesterday, only 2 days after our initial issue, the team had finished installing a new unit for us. Matt, Cameron, Zachery, and Devin were all fantastic and easy to work with. 100% recommend Cooney.

  William called me and let me know what was going on with the furnace and told me that I needed some parts and will have the company call me the next day. I was grateful that he was able to find the problem and will get this fixed.

  Great company with a great group of people. I’ve had the opportunity to get to know the team at Cooney and have been impressed with how much they care about doing things the right way and taking care of their customers. They have a lot of experience, take pride in their work, and stand behind what they do. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cooney Air Conditioning & Heating to anyone in the Syracuse area looking for HVAC service or a new system.

  Our experience with this company has been extremely disappointing. This is the third HVAC system I have purchased and the third home I have owned, and I have never experienced issues like this with a previous HVAC installation or service. That is what makes this experience particularly concerning. The sales representative was your typical salesperson. We were promised rebates and savings, but were not given clear information about how to actually obtain them. Instead, we had to reach out to multiple people and go through several different points of contact just to try to get answers. The installation was also problematic. We specifically requested an additional humidifier, but the installers placed it behind our HVAC system in a location that makes future service extremely difficult. As a result, our refrigerator has to be removed to access the equipment, and our built-in fish tank also has to be removed whenever service is needed. Unfortunately, we did not discover the extent of this accessibility issue until nearly a year after installation, when we needed service and realized what would be required to access the equipment. The service experience has been mediocre as well. We have encountered unnecessary hoops and a lack of clear communication throughout the process. I am also concerned that there may be broader issues with service and accessibility in New York State that customers should be aware of when choosing an HVAC provider. Overall, this has been far more complicated and frustrating than it should be. HVAC companies are a dime a dozen, and after having owned three homes and purchased three HVAC systems, I can confidently say I have never dealt with an experience like this. We will be contacting the company directly to give them an opportunity to rectify the situation. If we cannot reach a mutually agreeable resolution, we will pursue the appropriate avenues for reporting our concerns, including the Better Business Bureau.
