I first noticed the TriStone crew working a couple of streets away from my house. I had been thinking about getting the walkway out front repaired, so I did a quick Google search for masonry companies nearby, and TriStone was the first name that came up.
I gave them a call, and they came over to look at the job and gave me a free estimate. The path in front of the house was badly cracked, uneven, and starting to crumble in several places, so it was definitely time to have it replaced.
They explained everything clearly, gave me a very fair price, and even helped me out with a good discount. The whole job was handled properly from start to finish, and the new walkway looks so much better than what was there before.
The crew was friendly, easy to deal with, and left everything neat when they were finished. I’m really glad I noticed them working nearby and decided to give them a call. Great work, fair price, and genuinely good people. Highly recommended.

What stood out to me most about TriStone Masonry was how genuine and helpful they were from the very beginning. I had nearly a foot of water in my basement and honestly didn’t know what to do. They took the time to inspect everything properly, explain where the water was coming from, and come up with a solution that made sense. They never pressured me or tried to sell me work I didn’t need. They simply wanted to help, and that is very rare nowadays. Thanks to their hard work, my basement is dry again and I finally have peace of mind. I’m truly grateful to the entire TriStone teamWhat stood out to me most about TriStone Masonry was how genuine and helpful they were from the very beginning. Frequently Asked Questions About TRI Stone Masonry & Restoration
How do I know if my chimney needs repair?
Look for these warning signs:
Bricks that are cracked or missing
Mortar joints that are crumbling
Water leaking around your fireplace
White stains (efflorescence) appearing on the chimney exterior
Rust forming on the damper or firebox
Smoke entering your home instead of venting properly
What causes chimney leaks?
Chimney leaks typically result from:
Compromised chimney flashing
A cracked crown on the chimney
An absent chimney cap
Mortar joints that have deteriorated
Bricks that are porous or damaged
Can cracked chimney bricks be repaired?
Yes, they can be repaired. The repair method depends on how extensive the damage is and may involve replacing individual bricks, tuckpointing (repointing), or rebuilding damaged portions of the chimney.
What is tuckpointing?
Tuckpointing, also called repointing, involves removing old, deteriorated mortar from joints and replacing it with fresh mortar. This process restores both the structural integrity and visual appeal of your chimney.
What are the signs that my foundation needs repair?
Watch for these indicators:
Cracks appearing in walls, floors, or ceilings
Doors and windows that stick or fail to close correctly
Floors that are uneven or sloping
Gaps forming between walls and ceilings
Cracks visible in exterior brick or foundation
What causes foundation problems?
Foundation issues typically stem from:
Soil that moves and settles
Inadequate drainage systems
Too much moisture or prolonged drought
Tree roots growing too close to the structure
Flawed construction methods
Are foundation cracks serious?
It depends on the crack. Hairline cracks are often cosmetic issues, but large cracks, those that are widening, or stair-step patterns may signal structural movement and require a professional inspection.
What is a fieldstone foundation?
A fieldstone foundation is constructed using natural stones that are stacked and held together with mortar. You'll typically find this type of foundation in older homes, particularly those constructed prior to the 1940s.
How do I know if my fieldstone foundation needs repair?
Watch for these warning signs:
Mortar joints that are crumbling
Stones that are loose or have shifted
Walls that bow or bulge outward
Water entering the basement
Cracks in the foundation
Floors above the foundation that are uneven
Why do fieldstone foundations deteriorate?
Deterioration of fieldstone foundations commonly occurs due to:
Natural aging and weather exposure
Moisture getting into the structure
Repeated freeze-thaw cycles
Drainage problems
Soil that settles over time
Mortar that has broken down
