Hands down the most incredible plumbers I’ve ever worked with! Rob and Jonathan are true professionals. They show up on time, explain everything clearly, and treat your home with care. What really stands out is how they connect with you in a personal level, making you feel like more than just a customer. You can tell they take pride in their work by how they speak and how flawless their work is. Highly recommend these guys!!!

National Grid had to shut off my gas due to a vent issue with my gas line. I called around 8pm last night, they scheduled me for 10-2 window and showed up at 9:45. You cannot beat that! Rob and his technician were first class, walked me through the process, cleaned up after themselves and worked quickly. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely be calling them back for any future plumbing Or gas line issues!

ZSL recently serviced our tankless unit (descale and filter/neutralizer maintenance) and installed a new frost-free hose bib and ball valve. The team arrived right on time and was incredibly professional and courteous throughout and the job was completed in a timely manner. Great service all around!

John saved us when our watermain broke. The contractor that started the job spent 2 days digging a hole in the front yard and couldn't find the leaky pipe. It was clear he was in way over his head. John brought his crew in to take over the replacement of the watermain. The job was finished in 1 afternoon. He and his team had to remove all the plantings in the garden to accomplish this and replanted all of them so you would never know anything was different. I can't say enough about how professional and caring he was. I highly recommend John and his company for any major plumbing needs you may have and the price was great too!

Update: ZSL’s reply to my posting is inaccurate and was written in a manner to make it appear as if they had no responsibility or accountability for the work they were hired to perform. The damage to the door sill capping was brought to Rob’s attention during the installation, the dryer mentioned upon clean up. We had 2 companies come in post installation and both stated that combing sewage and fixture vents is against code, whether getting it inspected or not, and why ZSL came back out to correct it once it was brought to their attention. Additionally, nobody made changes to the work they performed. Any issues were a direct result of improper installation. It is evident that they have no regard for someone’s home, cannot muster up the common decency and offer an apology. I’ve been in the construction trade for 30+ years working in homes and never took their approach. ZSL Plumbing was contracted to perform plumbing work for a bathroom addition to our basement. This included all waste and vent piping for a 3-piece bathroom (toilet, tub, and sink) and installation of the waste pump. We read up on all the positive reviews and were confident that we’d have the same end result. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned or as promised. Below are the issues that occurred. 1- When entering the rear sliding door throughout the day they damaged the metal trim capping that sits below the exterior part of the door by hitting it repeatedly with their work boots. 2- They combined the waste vent for the sewage pump with the venting for the fixtures. Not only is the against code, it’s a safety issue and allows for sewage gases from the pump to enter back into the home. This was realized after the work was completed and the crew had left for the day. When I called and spoke with the owner Rob his response to my concern was… you were there while the work was being performed, I wish you would have said something then. Really? Having paid a “supposed” professional to do the work it should not fall upon the homeowner to identify an issue such as this and should have been done properly right from the start. After bringing this issue to the table they did come back out to correct it the following morning 3- While working one of the workers somehow made a moderate sized dent in the side of our new washing machine. Not the end of the world but when it was mentioned to the owner there was no response, apology, etc. I guess it didn’t matter to him. 4- Part of the contracted work included setting the new tub in place. To hold the tub in place it is customary to drill into the top flange of an acrylic tub and set screws in place. However, the screws that were used were standard drywall screws which if left in placed would have eventually rusted, leading to them bleeding down onto the tub surface over time. Additionally, as per the owner they were to be countersunk which they weren’t. Needles to say I replaced them with the proper screws to avoid such an issue. 5- The waste pump I provided and had them install requires a check valve to isolate the pump, this I provided as well. The pump was only tested and not used for a couple of weeks given the stage of construction. Once in use a small leak was discovered at the check valve. The leak was due to loose fittings and the fact that no joint compound or PTFE tape was used to help seal the fittings. Using both together is usually the standard and best practice but using nothing at all is unacceptable. Again, I corrected this as well and have had no leaks since. All things considered, contracting this company was a huge disappointment, was the opposite experience of what we anticipated and were promised. They use inexperienced workers who were left unsupervised towards the later portion of the project, don’t follow local plumbing codes and safety practices, and have little regard for things in or around your home. Given the numerous issues I could not recommend this company nor would I use them for any future projects. Attached are pictures of the damage and improper installation.
