  Long did a great job on our roof. We initially had them out to take a look at our roof and provide guidance on how to move forward. We decided to do a full tear off. Once the contract was signed and the deposit paid things moved quickly. They were initially going to start that week, but weather pushed it out to the week after. From start to finish it only took them about 3 days. It's not a clean job, but they did their best in keeping the mess to a minimum and did a fairly thorough job cleaning up. They fixed a lot of the issues that initially caused our issues. Long had fair pricing, easy folks to work with and did great work overall. We're very happy with the project.

  We could not be happier with the service provided by Long Construction. We needed a new roof (complete tear off) new siding and gutters. From our initial meeting with Tom & Keven, where we were given many options to choose from, clear and transparent pricing, to the project managers that were onsite for each stage, everyone was professional and explained each step, provided contact information and answered any questions we had. Any additional issues that came up during the work was explained and costs were made clear. We never felt pressured or rushed. The difference it has made in the look and efficiency of our house is amazing. My neighbors commented on the meticulousness of the workers and the huge difference in appearance. We would highly recommend Long Construction to anyone looking for roofing, siding & gutters.

  If you are looking for a bid on a roofing job, I recommend contacting Mike Newton at Long Construction. He was quick but thorough in his assessment and in providing an estimate. Mike was very helpful and accessible for answering my questions. Long Construction was neither the highest nor the lowest (but close) bid. I liked that they used all Owens Corning products and had a positive approach to soffit vents instead of roof vents. The selection of products was appealing. Long Construction's roofing crew headed by Jose just finished replacing and repairing my roof. They worked so hard and did a wonderful job. Jose kept me wekk informed of the crew's progress. There were 4-6 workers on the job at any given time. I really like the shingles I chose. The crew that puts on the gutter covers has yet to come, but I expect them soon.

  I hired long construction to replace my roof and to change the down spouts, the salesman was nice , he answered all the questions appropriately, was not trying to push me to sign up, I had two other roofers, who were nice, but one had much higher price, and a long delay, the other was reasonable but I did not feel comfortable with him. they were able to do the job within a reasonable time, the workers did a good a job but I was not able to communicate with them directly ( none of them spoke english), the lead man spoke english, he was informative. not sure how well the roof will hold during strong storms yet, but so far its fine, there were few imperfections after the job, it would be nice if some one from the company communicated with me few days after the job is done. the down spouts color was not exactly the same old color, and one of the newly placed spout was leaking immediately after the job in a storm. overall I am satisfied with their job so far.

  The general quality of workmanship and materials was very good. My primary concerns were with the management of the job (not enough workers) and follow up inspection/evaluation/correction of issues. One worker was left to do the work alone for almost 12 hours over two days in sweltering heat. I provided water, gatorade and ice for him and the other workers over the three days of the job. After work was done, there was a bad rainstorm. The double elbow gutter downspout dislodged so there was water pouring onto the porch roof and next to the foundation. I took pictures and video and sent them to the project manager (PM). I received no response. I crawled onto the porch roof and secured the downspout as best I could. While on the porch roof I noticed that there were a couple of places the shingles didn't cover the underlayment. I called Long and they arranged for the PM to come out. The PM added two screws to the downspout but didn't fix the screw that held the downspout to the wall that they had pulled out during shingling. The PM also found an exposed nail on the porch. I told the PM I wanted a full walkthrough of the roof since these things were found. He said he'd be back for that with the worker. The worker came back to address the porch issues. The PM didn't. The PM said the worker would go onto the roof and send him pictures. That didn't happen. I called Long and told them to send another PM to look at the work. The new PM found that the exposed nail on the porch hadn't been addressed. He also found a number of exposed nails on the roof and that the nails on the flashing of the boot around the main stack hadn't been sealed. He also found quite a bit of debris in the gutter on the back roof (nails, flashing bits, shingle bits and staples). The new PM addressed all those issues. To boot, I stepped on a nail left in the back yard in my bare feet and also found on nail each embedded in my crocs.
