  They did great work, handled all the permits and once that was taken care of everything was completed in less than 3 days. Left work area very clean and staff was very professional and friendly. Went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule even coming after hours to walk me through my new generator and electric panel upgrade once the install was finished. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

  Our AC unit stopped working last night and I panicked! I called Universe Home Services and they were able to see me within the hour! Our technician Lawrence aka Larry- was top of the line. He showed up and got straight to work. Assessed the unit, looked before touching and was able to determine what needed to be done. Thankfully the unit still works and just needed one replacement to keep us cool the rest of the summer. He replaced, stayed to test it and ensured we were up and running! Throughout the process he was very thorough of how the unit works, explained what was wrong, how to fix it and also made additional professional recommendations. We will certainly keep their number handy. Thanks team, and thanks Larry for your quick help!

  Larry great honest guy. Thank you. He knows his stuff after Larry was here we determined system needs update in 24 hours Tommy and team here. Great guys clean install answered all my questions they know their stuff. Thank you all for your services. Phone interaction with customer advocate also top notch. Thank you all for your urgencies. As a manager for a big company my self just please take care of your guys no matter a metric that may need to be of importance. Take care of your hard honest employees thank you

  Buyer Beware: Outrageous Pricing for Basic Repairs! I am incredibly disappointed with Clarkstown Heating & Air Conditioning. My AC capacitor went out on a hot Friday, and I contacted them looking for a prompt repair. While the technician who arrived was professional, the billing was completely predatory. They charged me $685 plus tax to replace a single dual capacitor. This is a basic 30-minute job, and the high-end universal part they used costs under $100 retail. The standard market rate for this repair in Rockland County tops out around $350 to $450. Charging nearly $700 for a simple part swap is an extreme, unconscionable markup. There are plenty of honest, local HVAC professionals in our area who charge fair market rates. I will never use this company again, and I strongly advise other Rockland County homeowners to look elsewhere unless you want to be severely overcharged.

  We need to replace our 17 year old ductless system which was installed and serviced by Universe. The salesman, Tony, came same day we knew we had to replace. No hard sell or pressure just provided the info we needed to make a decision to replace two condensers and 5 indoor wall units. Installation day went without any problems. The crew of 5 techs arrived on time and explained how they were to proceed. As a replacement installation the existing electrical inside house was used. All other components are new. All 5 crew members were all polite and kept moving the whole day. This is our third large install with Universe and the fair cost is worth it. For us Universe is an extremely easy company to work with. The office staff is a pleasure too!
