  I was experiencing a problem with my four smoke alarms that were giving false signals in the form of chirping. The technicians were very polite and informative. They informed me that the replacing of the alarms would take 30 minutes. They gave me a quote of $985. when I asked them how much would be parts and labor, they told me that the quote didn't break down into parts and labor which to me was a red flag. I did not have them perform the work. Researching the cost of the alarms they would have installed I found that they would cost $200-$250. I realized that they were charging $700 for 1/2 hour of labor. This is absolutely outrageous. I will not recommend them to anyone.

  these people are my heros! i had a furnace/ac install today and one of the crew came upstairs and said "um i think we have a serious problem" (not something i want to her). turns out the electrical panel was arcing and there was evidence of burns and pitted surfaces. NOT GOOD! my mind raced, i googled electricians in hamburg and they were 5 miles from me. i called and they had a truck here in 30 minutes!! nothing is as cheap as it is this red hot minute, and it was not something i could negotiate, however, i got the best value for my money, a company that i can call if i have any problems and they will be back to do additional work that they did not have time to finish tonight, but i have my AC running, new furnace is installed and the panel will outlast me.... thank you Scherer, I appreciate your professionalism and prompt service.

  The entire experience was amazing! From the woman who set up my appointment all the way through the service appointment was great! Josh called me before he arrived, was pleasant and professional when diagnosing the issue and provided me with a detailed explanation of what needed to be done. They were timely and efficient and communicated their plan to fix my issue. I will definitely call this company again if I ever have an electrical issue and will suggest this company to my friends and family with no hesitation!

  My outlet box was fried so they came in and in about five hours (2 electricans 2 assistants) finished the job and everything was good but one breaker kept tripping. One electrician came back looked in the area of the breaker outlets that were tripping and said he couldn't find anything but still charged me 200 dollars. I called the company and another electrician came and found the problem. He told me that he would have to come up with an estimate and email it to me. Almost four weeks later still waiting. The work might have been ok but the lack of follow up concerned me the most. One electrician can't even find the problem and the other one doesn't even email us an estimate 3 plus weeks later over something another electrican told me could have been estimated in hours. Even an email telling me he can't get to it yet but will would have been more than adequate. The outlets are not in an important area just the back mudroom. But to be left hanging is most concerning.

  Update: you’re very long winded to distract from the fact you extort customers with an astronomical cost to do a basic job or force them to pay a $75 fee just to listen to your overpaid quote. I already paid someone $350 and the job was done to perfection. That’s $520 of a savings I just made. I’ll be sure to steer friends and family away from you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I scheduled Scherer to replace three garage light fixtures that I was supplying at a 3 year old house. No new wiring or anything else. Simple job. The technician quoted $850+ and told me it would take an hour 😂 !! I was then told there would be a $75 service fee for declining, but I explained that no one mentioned any fee when I scheduled the appointment. The technician threatened me that they voice record their scheduling calls verbally stating there’s a service fee and that you’d be liable to pay it. He also initially insisted they wouldn’t leave without collecting it, but after checking with the office, he came back and said their receptionist had not informed me about the fee, so it was waived. The entire interaction was bizarre, disgusting, pressured and uncomfortable. I won't be using this company for anything. This quote could have easily been conducted over the phone but obviously this company wants to try and extort and exploit customers. Absolute joke of a company.
