We have used Universe now for a few installations, Anthony recently swapped out a toilet for us, cleared out a major blockage on a sewer line and Vidal just installed a whole house filtration system for us after our previous system failed on our 1929 house. They have been very polite, knowledgeable and efficient and have always given us fair and tiered options with pricing. We would highly recommend their services.
Overall, they did a good job, and the technician was professional and courteous. The reason for my lower rating is the price. I was charged about double the typical cost for a capacitor replacement. Unfortunately, during a heat wave, you don’t have much choice but to get the AC running.

Call for boiler repair. They first sent a tech that only deals with natural gas. I refused to pay the service call fee since they sent the wrong person. They sent someone else who didn’t fix my boiler cause they didn’t have the correct part on the truck. They had me pay for the call and the part that they didn’t have. Since it was a Friday the tech said they would come back first thing Monday morning. They also spilled oil in my basement and dropped quick dry all through my house as the bag they carried in had a hole in it. I took the morning off and waited. I called at 10am to find out they had to order the part and had no ETA of arrival but they’d call later in the day. I called again at 6pm and was told they still didn’t have the part. They’d call me when it came in. So I have to continue to go without hot water. At least it’s not February.

Nick from Universe came out to give an estimate for some plumbing work. He was knowledgeable and professional. He put our worries at ease and gave us a quote on the spot. He was very detailed and really took the time to explain everything that had to be done. We could not have received better customer service! When all of the work was completed he went through everything and couldn't have made this any easier as what we needed done needed to be very specific. Lindsey who I believe runs the office was also very helpful. I will certainly give them our future business and if I could give more stars I would!

Installed a new compressor 2 years ago and at the advice of the salesman and installer leave the 14 year old air handler since it was working. Last week no cooling. Tech came and said it’s leaking Freon, can’t charge it, need a $940 leak test, most likely the leak is in the cooling coil. Every other company said they would never leave the air handler of that age with a new compressor. Now I’m forced to spend $5k+ bc they don’t make those units anymore bc of the refrigerant change and they are at a premium. Since they were bought out they lost a 20 year customer. They could care less when I explained what happened. Can’t trust their advice and recommendations anymore. Phone rep could give a crap about the situation. Find a family run business who is invested in their customers.
