  Jamie is the man! I reached out to Universe Home Service towards the tail-end of my research process to install a new 2-zone mini-split system in my home. i only learned about Universe after reading an unsolicited recommendation from someone on Reddit. I already had proposals/bids from 3 other vendors by the time Jamie visited my home. He did a good job of explaining things and answered my multiple questions (with logical explanations) which helped me to reach my decision. At the end of a two week process I decided to engage Universe to perform the work and I can honestly say Jamie was a big factor in my decision. The installation is scheduled for the end of this week and I will post another review regarding how that process went afterwards.

  Communication is good. The person that was there to do an annual service on AC unit was nice although he looked for everything to essentially push me to replace the system. Yes, the system is OLD, I know this and also know it may die any day. However, it ran fine last year and still runs this year. The annual service was to clean it up for another season knowing it's a crap shoot if it makes it. However, annual service that was performed was looking at the Air handler and doing nothing. Then replacing the filter (i have them and replace regularly), then looking at the condenser outside where I was told it's shot and can't be cleaned. So $100 to change the filter. I bought the AC foam to clean the condenser coils and did the maintenance myself. It looks almost new and that's because I did it and not this shady company. Might it die next week? Absolutely, it's old and I know it. But it worked last year and works now. Now the company won't stop contacting me to replace everything!!! When I do replace it, I won't use this shady company who all but told me the unit was shot and I had to pay them $100 to tell me, yet I have it running now and it works. You be the judge of this company but I'll never call them again

  Anthony Krachenfels from Universe Home Service was very professional and knowledgeable. He was honest about the situation and mentioned that he could have charged for opening up the ceiling to find out the problem, but since it wasn’t a plumbing issue and not his area of specialty, he chose not to charge for that work. I really appreciate and respect his honesty. He cleaned up really nicely afterwards. He also recommended a reliable company for the necessary repairs, and they did a great job. If anything else comes up in the future, I will definitely be calling Universe Home Service again.

  Nick was not knowledgeable at all in fixing the issue I had with my water heater and expansion tank. He claimed that a leak came from the expansion tank and would not leak again because he drained it, however I woke up to another flood. He also didn’t bother to look at the water heater which also had a crack in it and was leaking. I had to pay twice since I had to hire another company to fix the issue since he wasn’t capable of doing so himself. He also tried to charge me 1600 to fix an issue another company charged 480 to do correctly.

  I had a major HVAC overhaul done by Universe Home Services, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Tommy Ercolano led the project, and from start to finish, everything was handled with a level of professionalism that is honestly rare. The pricing was very fair, and Tommy was easy to work with—straightforward, reasonable, and clearly focused on doing right by the customer. What really stood out, though, was the execution. His entire crew was exceptionally professional, highly competent, and detail-oriented. To be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to having a team of six people in my home for a full day. But they completely exceeded expectations. They were incredibly respectful, unobtrusive, and polite throughout the entire process. They kept everything clean, paid attention to the small details, and worked with a level of coordination and care that made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. What could have been a disruptive, messy project turned into a genuinely positive experience. That says a lot about the leadership and the team. I would highly recommend Tommy Ercolano and Universe Home Services to anyone looking for quality work done right.
