  My AC one day decided to go out and I was without any cooling for a few days. These guys came in and checked everything that was wrong and was quick to fix both my AC and installed a new furnace since the whole unit was old and needed replacing! I’m very pleased with my new AC and am so happy to finally get cooling. Thank you!!

  I first met with the technician Jeffrey to service the old compressor that was here at a condo I recently moved into. He took his time assessing the condition and it needed a lot of repair so decided to look into a new outside compressor. He was extensive with his assessment which I appreciated Justine a salesperson showed me quotes. She was knowledgeable and easy to talk with. I trusted her and that helped me secure my decision on a Lennox compressor. Elijah installed it the next day. He removed the old one and delivered the new one and streamlined the disarray of wires to one It was a lot of work! For the furnace there were new parts that he installed and a new digital thermostat. There was a lot of steps he had to complete. I was so fortunate to have him do this work because if his extensive experience and training. He was quick on his feet with problem solving and very patient and thorough. He explained all he did when he was finished. There were two other employees that came out also whom played an important part with this being a success story. Thank you all whom made this possible.

  I am very satisfied with emerald heating and cooling. They are reliable, their employees are good trouble shooters and have always been able to find solutions to my furnace/ ac units weird issues. They do not try to over sell etc. I became a lucky duck member because they are so reliable.

  Had both my furnace and AC unit replaced in November 2024. Had a number of call backs for the furnace, mostly minor issues of it not changing stages properly and the damper being closed accidentally. Get to the AC unit. It was left uncharged when installed due to the cold temps. No worries, they come back in May of 2025. The person they sent diagnoses no charge in the system, which we knew in advance, but he couldn’t charge it. So the next day someone comes out to charge it and identifies a refrigerant leak in the system. Mind you this system is brand new and was never used because it wasn’t charged. Well he couldn’t fix the leak so I had to wait another day to get someone out to fix it. They come out, fix it and everything runs good for the summer of 2025. It’s now June of 2026. Just returned from vacation in a heatwave and go to kick on the AC. You’ll never guess what happens, it fails to turn on. So now in the middle of 100 degree heat indexes I get to wait for 2 days to have someone even look at the unit, based on previous experiences who knows if they’ll even fix it that day. Funny thing is the furnace stopped working at the end of winter as well, we just haven’t bothered to do anything with that yet but add it to the list. I understand there are “lemons” out there but this is unacceptable on so many levels. Repairs have always been fine with Emerald but I would recommend going elsewhere with your install needs based on my experience.

  I was disappointed with my previous HVAC contractor and had heard good things about Emerald. Why did I ever think that it was a good idea to hire an HVAC contractor to install a water heater?! The advisor doing the estimate convinced me that a tankless water heater was the way to go. And it could be installed by the same crew on the same day as the whole-house humidifier that I also wanted. Convenient, right?! Four service calls later, Emerald still could not diagnose the problem with the brand new tankless water heater. I insisted that they remove it and replace it with a conventional tank. My refund took three weeks and was only for the difference in cost between the tankless and tank options. They offered very little compensation for their mistakes. Meanwhile, I was inconvenienced by repeat service calls (which I did not pay for, to their credit), days without reliable hot water, hundreds of gallons of wasted water, repeated messes in my basement, and thousands of dollars of my money tied up for weeks. That first day, the install technicians left without properly testing the new AprilAire. When the installer came back to troubleshoot the tankless hot water heater, I asked him to check the AprilAire as well. He admitted that it had not been wired properly and was not working but blamed the other technician. I wanted to hire a small, family-owned business. I never once heard from the owner. Many times, my call was directed to an AI answering service. One of the few compensations that Emerald offered was a free future AC/furnace tune-up. No thanks. Emerald will never be touching my equipment again.
