Cooper Recycling is the only recycling facility in NY to have received certification from the Recycling Certification Institute (RCI). Wood & Wood Chips
We accept all wood found in building and construction materials – and it is a highly recyclable product. Wood is designated as clean, pressure treated / plywood, or dirty (treated with arsenic or lead). Our wood is ground into wood-chips onsite and used as mulch or sent to co-generation facilities and used as a substitute for fossil fuels.
Metals
Ferrous and non-ferrous metals are extracted from debris using magnets. It is re-used as scrap in domestic markets.
Paper & Corrugate
Paper / corrugate / cardboard is separated and sent to paper mills where it is reground and reused in paper products.
Plastics
Plastic materials, such as paint buckets, packaging and garbage bags are separated by chemistry (HDPE, LDPE, PET, PVC, etc) bailed, and reused in various ways. Many of our recycled products end up in auto parts, paint buckets, garbage cans, and other industrial plastics

Concrete and brick is crushed and then recycled and reused in aggregate material
