  One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning was able to get a technician out quickly on a Sunday, which we appreciated given the heat in Las Vegas. The technician was professional and courteous during the visit. However, after the issue returned, we were presented with repair estimates in the thousands and discussions about full system replacement. Wanting another opinion before making a major financial decision, we contacted a local company that identified and repaired the actual issue for under $100: a loose electrical connection causing an intermittent failure. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone facing a large repair or replacement recommendation to seek a second opinion before proceeding.

  I had an excellent experience with One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating, and especially with my technician, David Hernandez. I needed service on my attic-located evaporator unit, which required replacing the blower motor and motor control board. Even though my system is 26 years old, David arrived right on time with very short notice, quickly diagnosed the problem, obtained the necessary parts, and completed the installation and cleanup within just a few hours. David was friendly, respectful, and very clear in explaining what he was doing and why. I especially appreciated that after thoroughly checking over the system, he did not pressure or forcibly upsell me into a full system replacement. David’s professionalism helped me apply my life-long approach of targeted repairs and “run until fail” replacement whenever appropriate. His communication style conveyed honesty and transparency, which is extremely important when making decisions about an older HVAC system and balancing repair costs against replacement. The dispatcher was also quick, easy to schedule with, and upfront about the basic introductory service call charge. Overall, this was a very positive experience from start to finish. David’s professionalism, technical skill, punctuality, and integrity made a stressful repair much easier. I would gladly recommend David and One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating to anyone needing reliable and honest air conditioning service.

  In a brief exchange, the ac tech that came to fixx my ac, he asked me what’s wrong with my mini spli air condition. I told him I believe it may have a leak and may just need to be recharged. He answered “it may need charge?” “Yes, I said. He answered: “charged with what?” I realized that the answered gave me two possibilities: 1. He did not know that ac units are charged with Freon or he was playing dumb and wanted to waste my time. Both possibilities were beyond the scope of the reason I called the service. So I asked him to leave because if he did not know that an ac is charged with Freon, he was the wrong person , ie not an ac tech. If he knew, he was wasting my time.
