  Desert West Services came out to diagnose and fix our AC unit. Damian arrived early (Yay, we were hot), called when he was on his way, and quickly replaced the broken part. We have used Desert West for maintenance as well. My neighbors like and use them too. We highly recommend them due to the great customer service and competitive pricing!

  Desert West Services was absolutely fantastic! I called them at 4:30pm and they had Damian at our home by 6:30 that evening to look at our air conditioner. I trusted everything he told me and I don’t trust easily. He included photos and videos of what the problems were with our unit. In the end, we knew that our 23 year old unit would need to be replaced and they were able to get a new air conditioning unit installed the next day, which was huge considering it was the 4th of July weekend and everyone else was closed. They cleaned up and moved everything back when they were done as if they’d never been here. Highly recommend! From Kat, who answered to phone to Damian and all the crew that installed the unit 100% professional and kind!

  Technician Felipe Hernandez responded to check my HVAC system due to a burning smell coming from a duct. He checked every single thing that could possibly produce a burning smell, even recording it so I could see what he did. The system checked out ok in all areas; however, he was unable to access the duct in question due to its position in the attic/ceiling. There may be some commingling of air from the attic with the duct air, but that will take more extensive investigation. I appreciate Felipe coming out to check on this issue. He was very professional, thorough and polite. As per usual, DWS provided exceptional service. Thank you DWS and Felipe!

  Upstairs ac went out two days ago. DWS came out and gave a very professional and knowledgeable explanation on what was going on. The tech even showed my why the units were going bad and explained all my options. UPDATE: Sunday, our upstairs air conditioner went out. Both of our units were 21 years old. I called DWS, and they were able to come out within a few hours. I had to schedule them a little later because of prearranged plans, but they worked with my schedule. The technician came out, thoroughly inspected everything, and then brought me outside to show me exactly why the unit kept blowing fuses. She explained that the compressor was fried. I asked if she could also take a look at our downstairs unit since it was the same age. She told me it still had a little life left, but the compressor was also showing signs of wear. At that point, we decided it made sense to replace both units. What I appreciated most was that there was absolutely no pressure or upselling. She explained what we had, showed us comparable replacement units along with an upgraded option, and let us decide. We chose the comparable units, which came with a 10-year parts and labor warranty, and scheduled the installation. The installation crew came out today and replaced both the upstairs and downstairs systems. They started around 8:30 a.m. and finished around 5:00 p.m. The entire crew was professional, friendly, and respectful. Their work was clean and well done. The new units look great, the attic was left looking clean, the air is nice and cold! While they were here, I also signed up for their maintenance membership. They contact me to replace my air filters throughout the year, and perform tune-ups in both the spring and fall. Overall, I'm really glad we chose DWS for our A/C replacement. From the first service call through the installation, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

  The tech, friendly, polite and prompt but that's it. I had a leak in my system I wanted repaired but, I cant get anyone to just fix the leak and recharge my system. Everyone wants to "Up-sell" you and entire system. My Evap coil had a leak and I decided it would be best for me if i had the coil replaced. NO. I WAS TOLD THAT CANT BE DONE. 2 brand new units would cost 22-25k. A leak fixed is a small fraction of 2 new systems. Up-Sell or no sale seems to be the way with Desert West. No one will just do a repair anymore and here's a classic case of that. I have a 14 year old system that takes 410A refrigerant thats being fazed out. You can legally buy parts and have repairs done legally. I know this because I know how it works. I have an EPA 608 Universal HVAC License. She didn't know that and assumed I'm just some stupid customer that doesn't know anything about AC systems. I'm 62 and just wanted to hire someone to do the repair. I also know if you have a sytem with 410A refrigerant you can buy parts and legally repair these systems. That's a fact, but repair was not this company's concern at all. She said "it cant be done, you can't get parts." You can buy any part you need for an old system, you just can't have an entire outdated system legally installed. But if you are a company trying to sell 2 systems for 22-25k you say these kinds of things. I could be mistaken but, to my knowledge most ac break downs are on old ac units that need repairs. "Old systems" are the key words here, not NEW. So basically she was telling me Desert West AC Repair doesn't do any repairs on old residential air conditioning. They only install new ones. It was 103° outside and my wife and I were sweltering in our house and we are elderly. My wife is retired and im close to retirement so I can't afford to spend $25,000 on 2 brand new units. So I was denied a service repair unless I handed over $25,000 dollars to Desert West. That's just inhumane. Not decent at all. I just wanted to find someone to repair my AC so I could get my air back on. Then I was told "uh its our company policy." If you want a repair dont call Desert West it's their policy to only repair NEW systems not old systems that need repair, you have to buy a new one, even if you are just an elderly person or persons who don't want heat exhaustion in 103° heat. Unbelievable
