  Hmmm, this job was done today. The installer was pleasant enough but so far in my research the cost to do this job is what I would called quite inflated. I suggest that you go to LiftMaster direct or Home Depot to buy the product and ask them about install options. I paid $2134 for an until that was all inclusive with large openers, key pad and wall opener. I had them change out the rollers as well to a better self sealed unit. The opener is $522 at Home Dept, the rollers are $42 dollars for 12. So materials costs were just south of $600. Meaning I paid nearly $1500 for removal of existing unit (which they took) and install of the new product. That is a 275% mark up. I'm considering my options at this point but it is fair to say that I will be proceeding with some type of action. Again, nice guy job is to my liking. BUT see Jospeh's review below and a few others. Oversell and over charging seems to be thing with this company.

I contacted them one evening for a garage door repair, and Jeremy came out the very next day to diagnose the issue. He quickly repaired my garage door to keep it safe and fully operational until a new garage door and garage door opener could be installed. He was professional, knowledgeable, honest, and took the time to explain all of my options without any pressure.   I had a very good experience with A1 garage services! Andrew Black, my technician started out with giving me an update when my technician would be arriving and a cute little bio about the technician with a picture which made me feel very comfortable and allowed me to get to know the technician before he even arrived. When he arrived, He was very thorough and explained every piece and part and my options for either getting a new garage door or simply fixing the older one. Our house was built in the 1980s, so I opted for the new garage build as it was a better cost option. He was very friendly, very thorough and helpful. He even went so far as to helping us move the furniture and things in the garage needed for the service which he did not have to do and I was very appreciative. He was very polite, but funny at the same time and brought plenty of comedy to our session as stated in his bio. He also gave me his business card if we ever needed anything in the future, and I really appreciate that as it feels like this company really cares about its customers. The technician went above and beyond and deserves a pay raise for the amount of care he has put into his work and customers. The company also worked with us on the price, knowing our situation, and I was very thankful that they took the time.

  Service from our technician Osmar: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A1 as a company: ⭐ Osmar was friendly, informative, and did a great job overall. He offered to remove our old garage door opener and called in to ask about lowering the cost of replacing our springs. He clearly laid out our options and explained why our springs failed so quickly. A1 Garage Door Service replaced our springs and some other parts a little more than two years ago. Even then I felt overcharged, but we needed it done and done quickly. Turns out, the springs were the cheapest, low warranty ones they offer. We were not offered better quality springs at that time and were unaware that was even a possibility. Osmar is the one who clued us in to that and told us we got the cheapest option. ☹️ In the two years since replacing those springs, we went through two garage door openers, unaware that it was our springs that caused the motors to burn out. I immediately started to check what better quality springs would cost and it was much less than what we paid two years ago for cheap ones. 😠 That part is on us for not researching this before calling a company to fix our door. Knowing that we were overcharged the first time, and we had gone through two garage door openers, I was determined not to be taken advantage of again. After quoting us a price for the better springs, I told him no thank you; I had already found several other garage door companies who had their prices on the websites and they were asking about 50% less than A1's quote. Osmar called in and got the price dropped to below the competition so we went through with the replacement. The price that we eventually paid should have been the cost all along, playing games with customers is not the way, do better A1. A1 got our business today, but did not earn our trust. I wish Osmar all the best, he was the real hero today. A1, you have a high quality employee in Osmar.

  I really do not like to complain against a company that now hold a warranty on the part and service they did but if they dont handle that properly theres always the NV State Contractors Board. First repairman was super friendly and seemed competent..we had a broken spring. He gave me options for the spring...i selected the one that our budget and paid over $500. I left him to.do the work. I went out to see how it was going and from thst moment on ..everytime i went out he told me something else was wrong. Until i reached my breaking point and asked..why didnt you tell me all this upfront? Do i need a new door??? His reply well thats up to you..im just letting you know that your spring may not hold up due to these other issues. At that point i just wanted him gone. He just made me feel id made the worse investment in buying the spring. He shouldve evaluated it all and presented it all from the start..not after he had my garage door hanging off the rod and putting in the new spring! The inspection breakout they left me with made it look.like all these issues could void the waranty he just told me covered the spring. This is a highly unethical way to do business. Next.. Its a couple weeks later and we notice the doir is bowing slightly. It wasnt. So i asked them to look at it. I requested a new tech. This one was rude..he told me i just didnt notice it before..then he asked me "did you look at your neighbors doors?" What does that have to do w my garage???? He told me it was normal and left. Afterward as i drove around my neighborhood i saw doors that were perfectly straight and some bowed. So??? How do i know if those bowed ones are not hiving out? I called A1 to ask for something in writing on the last techicians finding...they said they dont have a form for that. I said just send an email. Oh we cant do that. The way this company does business is a questionable.
