Not at all impressed with the quality of their aerial lifts. 2nd time on a job site using sunbelt equipment. The first lift squealed and squeaked with every movement. Speed control was not functional. Either full slow or full on. Making precise movements in the air next to impossible. When the driver arrived to retrieve the lift, it failed while partially raised. The driver had to pump up the hydraulics to get the lift to fully function. Then while driving the lift onto the flatbed it stalled out completely. Forcing the driver to winch it onto the flatbed with the tires locked and dragging. Luckily none of this happened while I was on the lift. But I spent far too long performing the work I was hired to do because of having to fight the controls to get the lift into position every time.
This lift today is squealing and squeaking also. With no speed control knob at all. Do they not care about worker safety..? I realize these are rentals. But their lack of proper maintenance does not inspire confidence in their brand.
Also, whomever dropped the lift off ran it into the light pole base and parking sign. Seriously..?

Is a deposit required for a reservation?
For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment.
For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed. Apply for a credit account here.
If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. What if I need to keep my equipment longer?
If you need assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can extend the rental for you. When you keep the equipment longer, we will add the additional time and charges to your contract and credit card. Please refer to the rental contract, where the day, week and 4-week rates are shown for each piece of tool and equipment.
Can I return rented equipment at any location?
Typically, equipment should be returned to the same location where you initially rented it. If you need to return it to a different location, please contact the store where you rented the equipment for guidance. It’s advisable to call ahead so we can assist you in finding a convenient alternative location for your return. Your convenience is our priority.
What is the cost for the delivery of equipment to my location?
The delivery charge is calculated based on the category and class of equipment, the location of the rental location, the distance of the project site from the rental location.
Can I get tools and equipment delivered to me?
Yes, Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our extensive network of locations for a reasonable fee. When making a reservation, simply select the delivery option. During the reservation process, you can specify the delivery drop-off date and time, as well as your estimated equipment pickup date. The estimate is for our planning purposes and not a final date.

If you need additional assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can arrange for next steps or a replacement. If you want to have protection in the event of damage, Sunbelt Rentals offers a Rental Protection Plan (RPP), which can be purchased at the start of your rental.
