  I have to answer an inquiry from my insurance company regarding a claim I had last summer that resulted in a massive leak and flooding in my house. They want photos, receipts, etc., so I called Carlson who had done the plumbing repair for me. Within two hours of my phone call, I received an email with everything I needed from them which I can send to the insurance company. The person I spoke with was attentive, kind, and simpathetic to my problem, and sent an immediate email to the records department on my behalf. They are a great company!

  We appreciated their service and professionalism for a reported leak at a rental property. Unfortunately, I was unable to meet the technician at the property or inspect the actual proposed scope of work due to work obligations. By our phone conversation, I was under the impression that multiple parts were going to be replaced and that it was a larger job that would require multiple hours to complete based on technician description. I was therefore very surprised when the single technician completed the job in approximately 1 hour (initial call minus text that work was complete). To be clear the technician quoted us the estimate and I agreed to pay it up front. However, there was probably ~$80 in parts, meaning that labor was ~$750-800 for an hour minus the trip fee. Good service but seems outrageous that this is what plumbing costs. I registered a complaint with the company, and they indicated that I had agreed to the estimate and that was it.

  Disappointing customer service. Had scheduled maintenance on our evaporative cooler, appointment was confirmed and then cancelled by B Carlson the day of service…then rescheduled for later in the week. This time B Carlson cancelled at the end of the day the appointment was scheduled. This time we were told the technician had been subcontracted out for something else. Would love to understand why, if they are short staffed, was the appointment scheduled in the first place. I would also like to understand why B Carlson can’t give a window for when a technician is going to show up. It’s as if they don’t value the customer’s time. Infuriating when you spend the day waiting only to have them cancel at the end of the day. Our membership has been cancelled and we will not be using B Carlson again.

  We have used B Carlson for both plumbing and HVAC repairs and would recommend them on both fronts. We had issues with short cycling on our furnace, and a busted pressure-reducing valve (PRV) on our water main just as we were welcoming a newborn in to the house. Barney was able to get the PRV replaced on the plumbing while we were in the hospital so we didn't have to worry about being without water with the newborn. He was very communicative to let us know the reasonable changes needed from the estimate to get the fix completed on time and without issue. Cody was able to get the furnace short cycling figured out shortly after that without interrupting our newborn's nap, and ensured that we kept the house an appropriate temperature for his safety. He was very thorough and got the issue fixed for us right away during the service call, and even provided me with education about some easy maintenance I could do for our system in the process. Barney and Cody are both rock stars at B Carlson and I recommend them!!!

  Incredibly professional and trustworthy. Santino and Trey were able to swap out our water heater in a reasonable time, cleaned up, and were the kind of people you can feel comfortable having in your home. Santino explained all the changes and parts to me, I dont know much but the new water heater looks great, clean install. They were on time, no weird "sometime today" time frame and finished right as anticipated. As a mom of 4, I worry bringing people in the home, we had other quotes and not only was this the most reasonably priced - these were the people I felt most comfortable with. Win-win.
