Crawl space encapsulation creates a dry, hygienic, and safe interior space beneath your home that repels moisture and allergens. This can be achieved in many ways, but the main key component is a thick, durable vapor barrier to seal out the moisture from getting in. Encapsulation protects your property and creates a healthier interior climate for your entire home.

Edit: Made this a one star review from a two star because after posting they said they will reach out shortly but did not. Saying you will reach out then not is even more dishonest and seems like reaching for better optics without any of the effort. I called this company in to repair my basement wall. After a promising site visit they convinced me to install a French drain. Originally I didn't think I needed it but the price was about what I expected to repair the wall so I went ahead with it. The issues started when they said they would come out one week but then had to push it two weeks later because the permit wasn't approved. They unfortunately didn't tell me until less than 24 hours that they couldn't do the work yet. The problem was I needed to move my cast iron sink in the basement and cut it out. Which also was used to drain my washer... so I had to reinstall it again because they couldn't make it out for two more weeks. Their communication so far was terrible and it only got worse until the end, when they wanted payment before the letter or Certificate of approval came in. Finally they show up start doing the work and they back into my neighbors garage damaging it. Gave them my neighbors number to make it right and they still haven't fixed that issue yet. The wall repair went well enough even though they split my sill plate with installing it.. The French drain on the other hand was another issue. The concrete cracked every 2 feet once dried and they also poured around a wooden beam they left in. Sloppy work overall. Finally I had to request multiple times for the letter from the engineer to state that the work was done to the manufacturer's specifications and NJ standard uniform code, which their hesitation seemed suspicious to me. The only reason I am giving this two stars is because Tito finally took over the account and started to make things right. Sent out a team to repair the cracks and the issues i had with the concrete. I am a little worried about the wall though if the French drain was any indicator of the work done. I wouldn't recommend this company to my friend or anyone else, but if you HAVE to use them. Ask for Tito, that guy seems to actually care about doing a good job AND communicating with you.

Groundworks did a great job from start to finish! I had a separate waterproofing company that had installed a French drain system with a shallow sump pit a few years back. There was nothing wrong with the French drain system but the pit was too shallow and undersized to keep with influx of water (especially with the crazy storms we have been getting lately! Long story short Tito from Groundworks came out and assessed the situation and got me on the schedule. Basically they dug an extra pit out to split the system and replaced the older pit with a deeper better sump system with backup. The workers Miguel, Daniel, and Hilario were very courteous and did phenomenal job. They were communicative and carefully executed with minimal damage or interruption. Overall I am very satisfied impressed with their service and care! Groundworks is the way to go!

UPDATE: The company reached out immediately after seeing the original post and came out to review the work in person and then sent another team to repair the concrete that had been damaged. The concrete crew was headed by Dylan, who did a great job and was very personable and communicative. The original pictures are now patched up and and while things didn't go as smoothly as I'd hoped the company did ultimately get things handled and I'm content with the final result. ORIGINAL POST: Probably fine for simple jobs but doesn't seem to handle more complicated jobs well or stand behind a job to completion. I contracted Groundworks to try and lift some concrete slabs around a pool I had just purchased. About 2/3rd of the pool was pretty simple and those seemed to lift into place just fine. The back of the pool concrete was a bit more nuanced and would be trickier, which I fully understood going in. It felt like there was only one thing they could do so they just tried the same approach on that concrete (which was not what was told to me by the sales associate) and that ended up cracking the concrete in several places per the below pictures. I knew it was a tougher task and that was possible but assumed they'd at least patch any cracks and was not expecting them to disturb some of the existing structure as much as they did. The large chunk that broke off was tucked in for the rushed walkthrough and 10 minutes after they left I walked around for a closer look and saw the cracks and broken concrete. I reached out with pictures to see if the cracks could just be patched up so water didn't infiltrate the concrete and was told they'd look to fix it quickly but after a week, and a follow-up, with no response I'm less optimistic and will now have to start searching for new contractors to fix the damage left behind. Everyone was nice and for small very straight forward jobs it probably works well but I'd look elsewhere if your job is complicated.
