We went to Lumber Liquidators to explore hardwood floor options, and chose one that had a 40% off sticker, which sold us. As we were about to finalize the purchase, the rep told us that the sticker was labeled wrong, and could not honor the discounted price that was promised. Disappointed about the outcome, we chose to pick out another hardwood floor option that was similar, but only half of the flooring was in stock, and the other half had to be transferred to the store, which would incur a high transfer fee. The rep didn’t even work with us to waive a fee for us, and stated that her manager wouldn’t even work with us for a discount. Make sure to confirm pricing at the store before loving your final option.

I’m updating my review to explain what happened after I paid Lumber Liquidators for both the flooring and installation, which they arranged through an outside installer. If I could give 0 stars I would The flooring was delayed, and a crucial piece—the bullnose needed to connect the stairs to the new flooring—was missing. It took four weeks for that piece to arrive. When I contacted the store and management for answers, I felt I was given the runaround. I spoke with corporate team members within Lumber Liquidators and all I got was lip service. There were also several problems with the installation. The photos I’m attaching show a nail in the flooring groove, broken kick plates, and a gouged piece of flooring. I wanted those issues repaired promptly, but the installer said he wanted to wait until the bullnose arrived before returning. That meant another wait to address problems with flooring I had already paid to have installed properly. The work was eventually repaired, but getting to that point took repeated follow-ups and far too much time. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Lumber Liquidators for an installed flooring project or any flooring purchase. They were quick to accept payment and slow to resolve the missing part and installation defects.

We shopped for floors at a few places, and we were really frustrated by how insanely unhelpful the staff were, and how limited the options were. But Linda at Lumber Liquidators stood out - courteous, professional, knowledgeable. Everything you want in a salesperson. I did not count floor styles. I think Lumber Liqudators had more wood options than Floor and Decor. They certainly had way more than any other place we tried. Prices were good - easily in line with all the other places, and several options were on sale. All in all, a great experience.
