Basic sales training should teach that if a customer calls for a quote, they already understand the importance of siding — they just want numbers. Even after offering him ginger ale and a waffle, he showed no respect for my time. It shouldn’t take 1.5 hours to get to pricing. I finally asked him to leave without giving me a quote. I feel bad for the young guy, but this was a very outdated, car‑salesman style routine — likely pushed by old‑school sales leadership. They need to modernize and be direct.
