My AC unit was producing far to much condensation causing the air to push that condensation into and down my vents causing leaks and issues. called these guys to look into why that would be the guy they send try’s to sell me some story about a cracked pan … I go ok so if the pan is cracked doesn’t that mean it will be caught by the catch basin under the unit ? He goes yes. But it’s still cracked and needs to be replaced…. I tell em but that doesn’t solve the issue of the water being produced or the water being pushed into the vents? He goes yea but pan being cracked can cause these issues (it can’t) I asked him well if we change the actual entrance point of where the vent begins to the unit can it not push the water back to the drain line? He stops for a long minute and goes on to say that the unit is actually really old and they don’t make these kind of units anymore and I’d need to get a whole replacement …. I then said ahh got it ok thx you can go. He goes what about the drian pan? I tell em I’d call you guys if anything. I called my buddy and we placed a plastic like placard in front of the evaporator coils and they ran the excess water into the drian pan…. Also the unit was 2 years old.

We had a leak from HVAC in our attic just in one area that was found on an inspection. We ourselves had not noticed any problems with our second floor air flow. We have been a customer for many many years and have replaced high expense air-conditioning components with Arctic Air. We have regular service with them, they never mentioned this leak. We actually had a service maintenance call this past May with them and was told everything was fine. The tech who came to fix the leak told me the repair was approximately $450 so I assumed his work was pretty involved. He “repaired” the leak and was up in attic 10 minutes at most. I expressed that I was very dismayed that I was a long-term customer and I was charged $473 for just a few minutes of work. I emailed Arctic and they did nothing to adjust the price. I then spoke to Susan & Herb, 2 different managers. They were more concerned by this review than my complaint. I am extremely disappointed and would not use Arctic Air for further work. I only placed this review because I was solicited by Arctic Air to write a review.

I had Arctic Air come out after my AC suddenly stopped working, and I could not be more impressed with the service Kevin Au provided. From the moment he arrived, he was professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely committed to helping me understand what was going on with my system. Kevin Au didn’t just identify the issues, he took the time to clearly explain the cause behind them in a way that was easy to understand. He also went above and beyond by walking me through preventative maintenance steps for my existing units so I can help avoid future problems. It is rare to find this level of customer service, technical expertise, and professionalism all in one person. Kevin truly set the bar for what exceptional HVAC service should look like. He was the total package, and I would absolutely recommend Arctic Air, especially Kevin to anyone needing reliable, honest, and top-notch AC service.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES - DO NOT USE ARCTIC AIR. If I could give zero stars or less than one star, I would. I had been using Arctic Air for a few years. Last July, 2025, I purchased a prepaid service plan that cost $219 per unit (total of $438 for 2 units). My wife called in May 2026 to have service performed for the summer. Arctic Air said they could not come out until mid-August 2026. While it was a bit of a long wait for a simple, routine service, we booked the date. The day before the scheduled service call, Arctic Air said we would have to pay for the 2026 service since the work under the prepaid plan was not done within 12 months of payment. My wife explained that it was not our fault that it took over 2 months for Arctic Air to give us a service date, and that the delay was wholly Arctic Air's fault. Arctic Air refused to honor their commitment to the prepaid plan. They took our money for the prepaid plan and gave us absolutely nothing in return. It seems like a scam to take customers' money and then purposefully not perform the service within the time frame for the prepaid plan. Rather than fight over the cost, I will take my business elsewhere. It reminds me of the old saying, "When someone shows you who they are the first time, believe them." Well, Arctic Air showed me who they are, and I will never use them again. Think twice before using Arctic Air. There are plenty of other businesses out there that provide the same service, but they honor their word and commitments. I will never recommend them. I could care less about the money than the offense of using underhanded tactics to make money and providing beyond-poor customer service. Save your time and money and call anyone other than Arctic Air.

TLDR: Kevin saves the day after Hector is horrendous. Our electric bill has been skyrocketing like everyone's, and our statement said cooling was to blame. Likewise, our system hasn't been able to keep up even on 85 degree days, so we called Artic Air after they had replaced our system only a few years ago. Hector was sent out first, and he went into the attic to look at the indoor unit. Within the first three minutes, he was screaming and swearing up a storm because he had broken something within the unit. He spent the next five to ten minutes trying to fix what he broke, still yelling the entire time. Immediately after he fixed what he broke, he came down from the attic to look at the outdoor unit. While walking up to the outdoor unit, he kept talking to me like I was a moron, and not understanding that the issues with our system have been persistent, and not just on the 100+ degree days. Without even looking at the unit, he started saying that some parts weren't working. When he did walk up, he realized that he was wrong, but noted that the unit needed to be cleaned. He continued to talk to me as though I was an idiot, and hosed off the unit, saying that afterward it would need fifteen minutes to dry before he could take some readings. He sent me inside to check the temp of the air from a vent, and knowing that it would be at least fifteen minutes, I took my time getting a ladder and an accurate reading. When I came back out no more than ten minutes later, he had the entire unit closed back up, mentioned that the unit was going to be working as though it was supercharged, then showed me some numbers on his phone and how they matched a chart, and said he would do us the favor of only charging us for a service plan. I didn't want to deal with him at this point, so he left. We called to make another appointment to actually have the unit looked at by someone else, and Kevin came in more recently. From the gate, he was receptive and listened from the moment he walked in the door. He talked us through everything, and invited my husband up to the attic to explain what he was seeing and checking. Immediately upon going up to see the indoor unit, he found huge holes in the piping that were near impossible to miss, and explained which ones would be easy for us to repair, and which would need replacement work. When he went outside, he walked us through how to read everything, checked the unit top to bottom, and was clear about every detail. We will be requesting Kevin at every appointment from here out, and while he is a new technician, I trust him with our system from here on.
