- LLLK3 days ago5.0The last thing you want is to regret having thoroughly researched both materials and contractors when doing a bath, kitchen or other major renovation. Having spent many years in the construction and remodeling business, I had a very positive experience working with Avalon’s installation team (Tim Dugan, Ralph Standhope and Adalberto Souza (who had a far-above-normal skillset). I had also used Avalon’s shower door affiliate, South Jersey Glass, who were very professional and knowledgeable. The one thing in common regarding all the many many, material options: DO YOUR RESEARCH. There are COUNTLESS choices available for both the primary materials (such as stone based and composite tile, underlayments, mortars, grouts etc) to finish materials like medicine cabinets, sinks countertops and faucets, It is impossible for every retailer (and installer) to know everything about every material, as these things are constantly discontinued, upgraded, new product lines, etc. so take it upon yourself to do extensive research and ask questions. The adage of “you get what you pay for” holds mostly still true, and EVERYTHING has been ridiculously expensive since covid, but everyone also knows this, so don’t be surprised if your total project cost is considerably higher than you thought, but with your own due diligence, you will end up with a beautiful, durable finished renovation that you won’t regret. Bottom line: I’m very happy having worked with Avalon on my bathroom renovation, and would (and will) definitely do so again on my next project.

Yes, we offer free measuring services for our customers. Once a customer visits a showroom or completes a virtual consultation and makes selections, one of our professional estimators will visit the home to properly measure the space for the selected materials.

Do you carry felt under-padding for area rugs?
Yes, we carry synthetic felt under-padding for your area rug. Visit one of our showrooms for our full selection of area rug under-padding.
Are rug remnants for sale? Do you have a good supply of remnants and bound area rugs?
We carry remnants in our Rio Grande, NJ and Toms River, NJ showrooms. We also offer a full selection of ready-made rugs as well as an opportunity for custom rugs from a wide variety of vendors and brands.
Do you carry Tec grout?
Yes we do! Please visit your local showroom to view our selection of Tec grout.
Do you carry grout and mortar?
Yes, we carry a wide range of installation materials, including grout and mortar. We are a full stocking dealer of your most common grout and mortar brands, including TEC, Schluter, Wedi and more.
Do I need an appointment to talk to a store associate about my flooring or window project?
Appointments are not required in our showrooms and we do accept walk-ins. However, we do recommend making an appointment to speak with one of our store associates if you plan to arrive during peak visiting hours. Call your local showroom for an appointment.
Do you sell vinyl plank flooring?

Do you sell stair treads and runners?
Yes, we sell custom runners for your staircases. We also carry a selection of wood-look stair treads that coordinate well with our flooring options. We do not carry carpet stair treads at this time.

Do you take credit cards?

In the case of any error made during installation of an Avalon Flooring project, we can follow up with necessary repairs. We do not offer general floor repair services.
Do you do floor refinishing?
We do not offer floor refinishing services.
Do you do carpet stretching?
We offer stretching for carpet that was originally installed by the Avalon Flooring team. Our carpet stretching services are available for a fee. Call your store associate or local showroom for details.
What is your return policy for excess products (i.e. tile, laminate planks, etc.)?

Do you provide samples to bring home for review?
Many of our products do have samples that can be brought home. Depending on the product, you may be able to take those samples home the same day, or we may have to ship them to your home. For example, for hardwood, laminate, and vinyl we offer $5 samples that can be shipped directly to your home, while carpet samples are often available in store for customers to take home.
