  We hired Quality 1st to address the issue of water in the basement. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Everyone was professional, efficient and timely. Mike came for a consultation and to give us a quote. He was thorough, honest and professional. He really educates customers on the process, products & services provided! We scheduled the service with him that same day. The work was completed this week. Mario and his team were professional, efficient and thorough! Mario made sure we understood the work they were doing each day, asked if we had any questions and checked in with us once each step of the process was completed to explain what they were going to do next. They worked quickly and efficiently. We are very pleased with the work that was done! Photos included are before, during and after. It looks AMAZING! I am so happy we decided to move forward and have Quality 1st Basement handle the job!

  In May 2025, we hired Quality First Basement Systems to repair the basement walls at our home in Independence Township, and we could not be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, the company was professional, responsive, and committed to quality workmanship. A special thank you to Tim in sales for taking the time to explain the process and answer all of our questions, Mike in the office for keeping everything organized and on schedule, and the installation crew for their hard work, professionalism, and attention to detail throughout the project. The work was completed exactly as promised, and the results exceeded our expectations. It is clear that this company takes pride in both their workmanship and customer service.   We are extremely delighted with our overall experience with Quality 1st Basement Systems company and its staff. It was pleasure working with Jeff Zick who is a highly professional, knowledgeable, resourceful and respectful individual. He spent time with both my friend and me to understand our problem in the basement and then provided us a very robust and cost effective solution which involved implementing french drain and sump pump to drain off water. He spent time to explain about Quality 1st Basement Systems company and the details of the products and process to be used to implement the final solution. Without any sales pressure tactics, Jeff gave us ample time to think before we decided to go with Quality 1st Basement Systems. He worked with his scheduling team to expedite the implementation of the solution. Jeff was in touch with us as the work was progressing. His implementation team members (Carlos/Mario) were very respectful, courteous and experienced. They kept us updated as the work was progressing. They took special care to make sure the premises were left clean. All in all, we are very pleased with Quality 1st Basement Systems company, Jeff Zick and his team.   Beware of this company’s service and products. After doing much research on how to keep my wet basement dry I decided on hiring this company. In 2018 they installed a sump pump system along with drilling the floors of my basement to install a drainage system which works fine and has all along. I did half my basement at a cost of $8000+ and included in that price is a sump pump dug about 2 feet+ below the ground, a dehumidifier unit called The Sedona and a 3 year warranty. In 2020, while under warranty, The Sedona dehumidifier failed and a blue substance lined the tubing that went into my sump pump. The company replaced this unit with a refurbished one which they don’t tell you about. A brand new unit costs a little over $2000. This year I noticed a brown substance lining the tubing to my dehumidifier so I called for service. The refurbished unit failed again a second time and I was told that I need a third unit at a cost of $750+ cos I’m out of warranty. The third unit would also be another refurbished one. The warranty for 5 years is $2000+. Normally, a good dehumidifier should last 8 to 12 years but The Sedona has a life span of 3 to 5 years. My issue is that the company sells an inferior dehumidifier and sump pump so that you’re forced to buy the expensive warranty and when they replace your unit you’ll get another refurbishment one so it’s an ongoing scam. (I did refuse to have them install another Sedona). The products they give you during construction (sump pump & dehumidifier) are of inferior quality. Sales calls and repairs within the warranty run $200 and up depending on what parts are needed. Of course none of this is explained by the salesperson since he/she is on commission so you’re not given the cons, just the pros. Unless you’re willing to be financially attached to this company year after year, you should steer clear of them. Your job is never fully completed and you have another payment to add to your yearly budget. P.S. - I’m now looking to purchase an affordable and reliable quality dehumidifier.

  Subject: Multiple failed attempts to resolve sump pump water flow issues. While the initial installation seemed promising, the follow-up service has been a significant source of frustration. We have had to schedule five appointments to address a persistent issue with water flow from the sump pump. Here is a summary of our experience: Four Unsuccessful Visits: Technicians have been to our home four times to correct the water flow. Each visit resulted in either overwhelming the lawn with water or directing it into the street. Despite our specific requests and suggestions, the problem remains unresolved. On the most recent visit, the new "lawnscape" was moved, but the underlying piping issue was ignored, leading to continued water runoff into the street. Lack of Clear Resolution Scheduling for the 5th visit: When scheduling the fifth service call, we were told a technician would have to review the "notes in the ticket." There was no assurance that the old, problematic piping would be removed and capped. The resolution is being left to the discretion of the on-site foreman, a strategy that has already failed on four previous occasions. Poor Communication and Lack of Accountability: Our attempts to get confirmation that the job would be completed correctly were met with the response that "it's in the ticket." This lack of direct accountability and a clear plan for resolution is unacceptable. The initial sales pitch was strong, but the after-sales service has been deeply disappointing. We have had to repeatedly diagnose the problem and suggest solutions, only to be met with incomplete work and a lack of clear communication. We advise potential customers to think twice before using this service.
