When I've had to call Pipe Works someone answers the phone (not a bot) and customer service is professional and friendly. Pricing is reasonable. I recommend Pipe Works for residential plumbing services.
- RCrobert chivertonSep 26, 20265.0Pipe Works just finished a 5-zone Mitsubishi ductless mini-split install in our three-story Tudor, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. They showed up with a large, well-organized team (seven trucks!) and finished the whole job in two days. Given the age and layout of our house, that's impressive. The crew treated our property with respect the entire time and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. Everyone had a great attitude, too. Communication was excellent. The electrician walked me through exactly what he needed to do and why. The project manager explained how the outdoor line sets would be routed before any work began. When the install was finished, he gave us a clear "how to use your new system" walkthrough, so we felt confident using it from day one. The contract stage took a few weeks. We went back and forth on the details, but Pipe Works worked with us patiently, and we ended up with an agreement we were both happy with. I'd much rather have that than a rushed deal. I also ran my own Manual J load calculation on the house using Cool Calc and my iPhone's LiDAR scanner. It matched Pipe Works' load estimates, which gave me real confidence that the system was sized properly and not just upsold. If you're considering a mini-split system, especially in an older home, I highly recommend Pipe Works.
- ZVZahra VaseqiSep 16, 20262.0We had a subscription with PipeWorks for two years to service heat and HVAC. The service people were nice and the call center was prompt to answer calls but we found out that they ultimately lack the expertise to handle steam heat systems. They made a “repair” (for an additional 2k$ beyond membership costs) to our radiator that was being noisy (we didn’t mind the noise we just wanted to be proactive and make sure it doesn’t have other issues)—they replaced a piece that caused a leak on the radiator. Then they came in and told us we need to open the exterior siding of the house to repair the leak under the wall!!! We called a general contractor to take on the expensive task of opening the wall to give access to pipe for repairs. In the meantime, I decided to get a second opinion from another local plumber who came in and replaced the culprit that was PipeWorks wrong repair and they did not even have to open the wall!! Not only PipeWorks caused the leak, they suggested we spend another unnecessary 5k$ with a general contractor to to open the wall for them to charge another $$ to “fix” it and then close the wall back for absolutely no reason!!!
