Installed a new electrical panel as ours was ancient. The work was done within the expected timeframe and the area of work was completely cleaned up afterwards. We have them coming back to complete work related to a gas fireplace installation and this job has given us the confidence that the future work will also be as expected. Thanks!

Gary was incredibly quick to give me a quote at a fair price and the work was outstanding despite the team having to work through a downpour of rain. Would absolutely use again and highly recommend if you're not trying to get ripped off by some of the bigger companies!

Excellent job. Don’t hesitate to hire. Would recommend and would hire again if needed. Professional, clean, and respectful group. Hired for ceiling fan, recessed lights and an outlet for fireplace insert. Greg took care of electrical permit. Everything passed. Fairly priced. Very happy.

Gary and his guys were fantastic. I called them at 4:55 pm on friday for our septic system needed all new wiring cause the underground wiring was shorting and tripping a breaker. Gary was out there Monday morning and gave us a thorough explanation of everything that needed to be done. We had a quote for the work just a few hours later and after accepting the quote he responded Tuesday that he'd be out the next day and his guys showed up right on time as he said. What was more amazing what his guys were able to wire our septic system through the house instead of underground and didnt even have to cause any damage to our ceiling or walls. Very professional work and would highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions About G.E. Smith Electric Inc.

Can I reset my own circuit breaker?

Resetting a circuit breaker is a common task that homeowners can perform. To reset a tripped breaker, locate the breaker box and identify any switches that are out of alignment. Move the affected breaker to the off position, then back to on. If this doesn't resolve the issue, we recommend contacting our professional electricians for assistance.

What is a tamper-resistant receptacle?

Tamper-resistant receptacles are safety devices featuring internal shutters that cover the outlet openings. These shutters prevent children from inserting objects into the slots, reducing the risk of electrical shock. These outlets are standard in homes constructed after 2008 and are recommended for older properties undergoing renovations. Our electricians can provide more information on installing these safety features in your home.
