I would NEVER recommend this company.
First and foremost, this service call was only necessary because the furnace was not installed properly in the first place. The company failed to install the required filter track and filter, resulting in our renter’s system running without a filter for approximately nine months. These issues were later identified by a home inspector and documented in the service appointment notes.
We also discovered that this company left an open, unpaid permit with the town from the original installation. Despite more than a dozen phone calls attempting to get these issues resolved, the owner has been unreachable and has yet to contact me or make any meaningful attempt to resolve this situation.
When the company finally sent a technician out to correct the furnace installation from nine months earlier, he arrived more than an hour outside the quoted service window and was completely unprepared for the job. He did not have the necessary materials or equipment to install the filter track and spent approximately FOUR HOURS going back and forth to the shop. He even had to be instructed on how the filter track needed to be cut and properly installed.
To make matters worse, WE had to go out and purchase the filter track ourselves because we were told they "had none at the shop." We have yet to be reimbursed for that expense.
The technician was also supposed to service and clean the entire system because it had been operating without a filter for approximately nine months as a direct result of the company’s original installation error. That service was not completed.
Additionally, the quote/service documentation provided for this visit was left BLANK. As property owners, we need complete documentation of the work performed on the HVAC system for our records, particularly when the appointment was specifically intended to correct deficiencies from the company’s original installation. We still do not have adequate documentation showing what was actually inspected, serviced, repaired, or completed.
The technician Robbie himself was polite, but it was very clear that he did not have an adequate understanding of the system and had not been properly trained or prepared to complete the work he was dispatched to perform. Ultimately, that responsibility falls on the company—not the technician.
This entire experience demonstrates a serious lack of due diligence, preparation, communication, documentation, and accountability. Between the improper original installation, our renter’s system operating without a filter for approximately nine months, the open and unpaid permit, an unprepared technician, approximately four hours spent attempting to correct a filter-track issue, our having to purchase the necessary part ourselves, the failure to complete the promised system service, blank service documentation, and an owner who has failed to return more than a dozen calls, the level of service has been unacceptable.
Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company responds when those mistakes are discovered. This company has had multiple opportunities to take responsibility, communicate with us, properly document its work, and make this right. They have failed to do so.
Based on our experience, I absolutely cannot recommend this company.
