  I needed an opinion on abandoning copper heat from a slab . I paid a small fee for the appointment Great communication, arrived as scheduled and even brought in reinforcements when needed to troubleshoot, everyone was neatly uniformed , clearly marked trucks and modern technology used for communication, billing and scheduling. Knowledgeable and friendly. Great experience

  I originally decided to go with Rowell's as they've been a fixture in the area for a long time. I knew I was going to pay a premium for use, as they have higher prices than most companies, but I was happy to pay for quality work. Unfortunately, they rescheduled on me three times, each time citing an emergency visit that one of their trucks had to make. This pushed back my original pumping date by almost a month. On the second phone call, the dispatcher was effusive with her apologies, but on the third rescheduling she didn't apologize once and I got the feeling that she wanted to get off the phone ASAP. I decided to go with another company, who kept the first appointment they made with me, were extremely professional, took the time to go over the septic situation in my house, and were $85 cheaper than Rowell's.

  All I want to say, is I know who I am calling for my next HVAC repair or service needs. I saw a fleet vehicle of yours today, and it caught my attention to the point that I said to myself, I must know what that vehicle says as it was uniquely colored in red, yellow and with a TREMENDOUSLY bold print. Whoever is in charge of your vehicle graphic design, just know it worked. You should get a raise. That is all. Go Rowell's!!

  I had a septic pump replaced in a second home by Rowell's. The experience wasn't what I expected. The onsite techs were pleasant and friendly. The scheduling lady was a little tough to work with, but maybe she had a bad day, not a big deal. My real issue is, I had a septic inspection for a home I was purchasing. Went fine. I paid $500 for it, it passed, and they sent a report of a few things I should consider doing in the future. One of those things they recommended for the future was pump chamber maintenance. A month or so after the inspection, I scheduled the maintenance for $820. The techs came, removed the pump and said it was old and should be replaced. They didn't do any maintenance as we agreed they'd send a quote for a new one. They put the original pump back, and I waited for a quote. The quote was $4,900. Mind you, I paid $500 for an inspection, $820 for "pump chamber maintenance" which was really "your pump is too old, replace it" and then they wanted an additional $4,900. We're at $6,200 now. I didn't do it. I called a competitor. They came out same day to get the pump model. And they came back the next day to replace the pump with an Ashland pump for $2,500. I'm sure Rowells would have done a fine job replacing the pump, but, in my experience, their prices were double their competition. That's too much.

  Requested service for a plugged toilet in a brand new house. The toilet was legit plugged due to a xxl #2 . I said all of this in the request. I was told there was a 99 dollar call out fee then a price would be assessed on site. The technician showed up, looked at the toilet, went out and wrote up an estimate. The estimate was 824. + 99. For the call out. So 923. Dollars to snake a toilet. All of this before the toilet was even touched. I told them to leave, I had to pay the 99. This entirely ticked me off, this is deceptive practice and extremely overpriced. So I stopped by Home Depot spent 26 bucks on a toilet snake and it took me maybe 2 minutes tops to clear the clog. This kind of practice should be illegal and I would go as far as saying it is unethical and takes advantage of people who think that can’t do for them self. I feel for single moms , seniors or others that may not be as capable or pissed off as I was.
