Guyer’s team was very punctual, personable and courteous when replacing our roof. Their attention to detail and thorough clean up was impressive; their value was also considerable. We referred Guyer to our neighbor, for their roof replacement. Dean Stoddard, NH

This is how Guyer responded to a reviewer here: "We take every concern seriously and are already reviewing the details of your project to understand what happened and how we can make it right. Our goal is for every customer to be satisfied with both the final result and the experience along the way." This begs the question why Sean is not only refusing to make it right for me, but now not even responding to any emails I send. (I could call but I fear being accused of harrassment at this point.) As another reviewer praises Guyer for standing out for responding to their initial call, I had the same experience. I had had numerous roofers not respond at all, or tell me to contact them later when less busy and then not respond. So with their quick response and reasonable quote, Guyer got the job of what I figured would be an easy job of sealing up around three skylights and the flashing around a chimney. They sent out an estimator to look at what was needed. He looked closely at everything for nearly ten minutes. He took pictures too if I recall correctly. The crew came out about a month later to do the work. This is where it is difficult to talk about, because the whole crew, except foreman, were non-native English speakers. So communication was ridiculous and I just had to accept that they understood what was needed. The foreman himself had to repeat things multiple times. But he insisted they were good and hard workers and I had no reason to think otherwise. When they finished, one had pictures of their work on his phone: two out of focus pictures. I didn't know what to say and didn't feel comfortable sending them back up. The foreman laughed it off and joked that I should hope it rains to find out whether it still leaked. Two days later it rained and it leaked. To make a very long story shorter, Sean first said he would make things right. Then the next day said they did the work according to instructions. And then wrote the whole thing off and rescinded any charges. But that's not what I wanted. I wanted a leaky roof fixed. We did have a promising phone call that made me think the door was open. But that proved illusive. I subsequently offered to pay in full including any extra material expenses, no matter the result, if he would send a crew back and add more sealant. No response. I said if that didn't work I would pay for a fully new flashing installed (expensive). No response. I sent telephoto closeup pictures of where I thought it might be leaking through. No response. I guess for a roofer $800 is a very small job, and can be easily written off. But what I don't get is how a roofer can remove himself from any responsibility (let alone "make it right") just by saying "No charge". Guyer just won a Silver award in the 2026 Best of Keene vote. And I believe it is probably well deserved. Which makes my experience all the more perplexing because the only thing I'm guilty of is hiring them to stop a leaky roof and getting upset that I still have a leaky roof. And then more upset when he disappears. Sorry for this review Sean. You and John are both nice guys but your stonewalling me was uncalled for

In August we contacted Guyer & Son Roofing for an estimate for a new roof because of some leaks. John the salesman was very helpful, honest and reassuring that Guyer & son will work with us. We are grateful that the new roof was put on in early Sept. The workmanship of Anthony, the supervisor, and his crew was impeccable. The job was done in one day. All debris was picked up and everything was put back in its place. Thank you for the great job.

The Guyer team was in and out in one day. The new roof looks great. They were wonderful about cleanup and care for the landscaping around the structure. Overall, an excellent job!
