Very professional servicer, he came out and gave an estimate as planned and even though we did not hire this company due to keeping our electric range, I would recommend them for your service needs.

I booked an appointment to have my bathroom sink checked out. It was clogged and despite me using my personal drain snake to get a chunk of something out, I could not make a dent in getting better throughput. I was able to get an appointment the very next day after I called. Both individuals who showed up were promptly on time and very friendly. They got to work quickly and cleaned up after themselves. My sink has not drained so well in a year. Also, the random bad smell that I would occasionally get is gone. I never knew it was coming from my sink clog. While they were here, I also had some snake out my shower just to be preemptive. I am not sure on the price as it was over $400 for both items to be done, but I know plumbers can be expensive

How long does a typical water heater last in Omaha, NE?
In the Omaha and Council Bluffs region, conventional tank water heaters typically provide 8 to 12 years of service life, influenced by several factors including:
- Local water quality and hardness levels
- Frequency of tank flushing and maintenance
- Overall household demand and usage habits
- Correct sizing and quality of installation
Tankless water heater systems from manufacturers like Navien often deliver extended service life when properly maintained. Routine inspections from Plumbing Today HVAC help identify rust, leaks, or declining performance early, allowing you to schedule water heater replacement before experiencing an unexpected failure.
What are the benefits of a tankless water heater?
Tankless water heater systems have gained widespread acceptance in Omaha, NE, and surrounding communities due to their ability to:
- Deliver hot water on demand rather than storing heated water in a tank
- Offer improved energy efficiency compared to most conventional tank models
- Require minimal installation space and allow for wall-mounted placement
- Eliminate the risk of tank leaks that can cause significant floor damage
Plumbing Today HVAC installs and maintains tankless units from brands such as Navien, in addition to quality tank-style water heaters from State Water Heaters and Rheem. Our team will assist you in evaluating initial investment costs, anticipated lifespan, and ongoing operating expenses to determine the most suitable option for your property.
How often should my air conditioning system be serviced?
For homes in the Omaha metro and Council Bluffs, it is generally a good idea to have your air conditioning system professionally serviced once a year, ideally in the spring before heavy summer use. An annual tune-up can:
-Check refrigerant performance and electrical components
-Clean coils and drain lines
-Verify thermostat operation and system safety controls
-Help maintain efficiency and consistent comfort
Regular maintenance also supports better indoor air quality and can extend equipment life. Plumbing Today HVAC offers a Membership Plan that includes scheduled HVAC tune-ups, priority scheduling, and discounts on certain repairs.
How quickly can Plumbing Today HVAC respond to an emergency in the Omaha–Council Bluffs metropolitan area?
For true plumbing and HVAC emergencies in Omaha, Council Bluffs, and the surrounding designated communities, Plumbing Today HVAC offers 24-hour answering and emergency service. Examples of emergencies include:
-Sewer backups and overflowing toilets
-Major indoor leaks or leaking water heaters
-Drains backing up repeatedly

How do I know if I need sewer line repair instead of just drain cleaning?
In homes across Omaha, NE, and Council Bluffs, some drain problems can be cleared with standard drain cleaning, while others are caused by issues in the main sewer line. Signs that you may need sewer repair or further evaluation include:
-Multiple fixtures backing up at the same time
-Gurgling sounds from toilets or floor drains when other fixtures are used
-Recurring clogs in the same locations despite previous cleaning
-Sewage odors inside or outside the home
-Wet, soft, or sunken spots in the yard along the sewer path
Plumbing Today HVAC can perform a camera inspection of your sewer line to see what is happening inside the pipe and recommend the right solution, whether that is a thorough cleaning, a targeted repair, or a full replacement.

How do I know whether I need a repair or full replacement?
Minor, isolated issues can usually be repaired. Full replacement is recommended when fixtures or lines are old, inefficient, or showing widespread damage. Our team will inspect, explain options, and compare short-term repair vs. long-term replacement benefits.
What happens during a professional plumbing inspection?
A typical inspection takes 1–2 hours for a single-family home, covering pipes, valves, fixtures, water pressure, and water heaters. Camera inspections may be recommended for main drains. At the end, a full summary, video footage, and service recommendations are provided.
When should I consider installing or replacing fixtures, water heaters, or filtration systems?
Homeowners should consider new fixtures after 10–15 years or if they need frequent repairs. Water heaters typically last 8–12 years. Whole-home filtration or softening is recommended for hard water, taste issues, or to protect new fixtures.
