I called to check my water softener that was in the house that we purchased. Their number was on the softener so I called. They came out the same day. Checked out the unit and showed me some of the features. I would highly recommend them for any water softener needs.

We are using the services of Convenient Water Treatment at the restaurants, (Spaghetti Works) and are very happy with the results. I have cut my salt usage in half, mainly because my water softeners were out of calibration. It's great to take the task of ordering and filling the units off of my manager's to do list, and at a substantial cost savings.

Frequently Asked Questions About Convenient Water Treatment
What is the purpose of a water softener?
A water softener removes minerals like calcium and magnesium from your water, which cause hardness. Softened water helps prevent scale buildup in plumbing, extends the lifespan of appliances, and makes soap more effective.
How does a reverse osmosis (RO) system work?
A reverse osmosis system filters water through a semipermeable membrane, removing contaminants like sediment, chlorine, heavy metals, and dissolved solids to provide clean, great-tasting water.
What are the benefits of installing a water softener?
Reduces scale buildup in pipes and appliances
Extends the life of water heaters, dishwashers, and washing machines
Improves soap lather and efficiency
Prevents spots on dishes and glassware
Leaves skin and hair feeling softer after showers
Is a reverse osmosis system suitable for drinking water?
Yes, reverse osmosis systems provide high-quality drinking water by removing impurities, including contaminants that can affect taste, smell, and safety.
Do I need both a water softener and a reverse osmosis system?
It depends on your water quality needs. A water softener handles hard water issues, while an RO system focuses on purifying drinking water. Together, they provide comprehensive water treatment for your home.
How often should I maintain my water softener?
Regular maintenance includes:
Checking salt levels monthly and refilling as needed
Cleaning the brine tank once a year
Scheduling professional service every 1–2 years to ensure optimal performance
How often should I replace the filters in my reverse osmosis system?
Pre-filters: Every 6–12 months
RO membrane: Every 2–3 years
Post-filters: Every 12 months Check your manufacturer’s recommendations for specific timelines.
What are the signs that I need a water softener?
Scale buildup on faucets and showerheads
Soap scum in sinks and bathtubs
Clothes feeling stiff after washing
Low water pressure caused by clogged pipes
Excessive spotting on dishes and glassware
How long do water softeners and RO systems last?
Water softeners: 10–15 years with proper maintenance
Reverse osmosis systems: 10–15 years, with regular filter and membrane replacements
Can I install a water softener or RO system myself?
While some systems are DIY-friendly, professional installation ensures proper setup and long-term reliability. Expert technicians can also assess your water quality and recommend the right system for your home.
