Have been with John Henry nearly 19 years. Are thankful we found them. Their products are of highest quality. Their personnel are fantastic. Very courteous, professional and helpful with advice and answers to all my questions. Have had electrical work done, water heater, a complete heat/cool system, a Generac installed, sink repair and bathroom work and other add ons installed.. All function well and as a result we feel very secure. Prices of equipment and labor are fair and reasonable.

Had a shut-off valve replaced on one of our toilets. I didn't mind the $89 fee for the visit, but doing the math on a $420 bill put labor at somewhere above $200 an hour. Would have a more exact amount for the labor if I had been emailed an invoice like I always have in the past for service. Am going to have to start thinking very hard about calling for service again.

They did a great job of replacing our electric breaker box and fuse boxes. Our house is over 100 years old and everything worked when they were finished.

Josh was really knowgeable, knew what he was doing, really no complaints though took him a tick over an hour. In my younger days I could have done what he done. (NOT as fast though) maybe the cost was a little more than I thought though. But I'm satisfied. If I ever need you guys again I'll ask for Josh, thanks. BILL. E.

7000+ Dollars. Google doesn't let you select more than 2000. It was over 7000 dollars I've paid this company, and over the phone they just threatened me with legal action over $900 that I don't owe them in the first place. I've never written a review before, but the audacity of this company is incredible and they don't know when to quit. On June 11th one of the wires on my house busted. Due to this, the power in my living room, my A/C and other essential appliances stopped working. I gave them a call that same day to have it fixed. They charge you $81 Dollars just to visit you, but I paid for a year long membership to have that waived and receive a discount on my quote.(They're claiming I didn't pay this, which is why I'm writing this review.) The worker said that I need to have it inspected, and that the inspector would likely not approve of the older panel in my home, and that I should think about having it replaced. I took a quote for having the whole panel replaced, but the worker made it very clear that there was a chance the inspector would approve the lesser job of simply replacing the wiring from the weather head to the meter. If he did we could go with that job instead, and that cost would be about half. I pay them over $4000 dollars in advance. On June 23rd, the inspector comes over.(I still don't have A/C in my home in June) and tells me that there's nothing wrong with my panel, and the salesman is likely trying to upcharge me. That same day, I call John Henry's back and tell them I want the lesser job, and specifically ask them if the price I've already paid will be sufficient for that job. They agree it will be, on June 23rd at around 11:51 AM and there is a recording of this phone conversation. On either, or both June 24th at around 3:07PM and June 29th at around 8:47 AM I clarify that I only want the wire replaced from the meter to the weather head. They don't get it scheduled until July 10th(A month with no A/C). When they come out to do the job I find them taking an abnormally long amount of time,(They didn't finish until 6PM by the way) because they're replacing the whole panel. I inform the worker that he wasn't supposed to be replacing the panel, but only the wiring from the meter to the weather head. He makes some calls and confirms that it was INDEED what we agreed upon, and over the phone on July 10th his boss confirms that it was their mistake and that they'll meet me in the middle on cost since they messed up. The worker tells me it'll be something closer to $5500 dollars instead of the usual $8000 for replacing the panel. His boss comes to my house to talk to me in person, and tells me it'll be $7000 dollars.(Already up-charging me, but I took it in stride.) When the work is finally done they say they need to collect $7300.(again up-charging me) The worker asks me if I still want the membership after the experience I went through, and I clarify whether I've already paid for it. He says "yes" I have already paid for it. I don't see any point in cancelling a membership that I've already paid for, so I also clarify that there's no automatic payments that I'll have to worry about.(Presumably in a year when I've forgotten about it, since I'd already paid for a year.) He says "no" there aren't any. To their credit that's the only true thing they told me since now a month later they're giving me calls claiming I'm two months behind on the VIP membership payments, and that I received a discount of $900 dollars due to the VIP membership. Neither of these things are true, but apparently they're comfortable up charging me on three separate occasions, and then calling to harass me about payments I've already made. Absolutely awful company. Even if you're willing to take a few hits they don't know when to quit. Do not work with these people.
